Just one question, your bilstein sport schocks by themselves didn´t lowered the car did they? What lowered were just the H&R springs?
Thanks

DoubleNickel I have a monthly pass to my friends carwash so I can go as many times as I want and they dont even run it through the normal machine. I have the same guy wash it and he uses an air hose to shoot all the water out of the cracks too.
LorinserLV2, the springs control the ride height while the Bilsteins stiffen up the ride. I actually lowered the car with the H&R's and then replaced the shocks a few months later. I swear the shorter shocks make my car look lower than with the factory shocks with the H&R;s but that may just be me smoking crack.

I'm new to this forum. I saw the pics of you car...VERY NICE. I have a black E320 and am looking for new wheels. Although I like the silver on your car I don't think they would look as good on my black car. I am looking for polished or smoked chrome wheels. I know these can be chromed, but can they be completely polished like the lip? Polished is what I perfer in order for them to stand out more. Also, where did you get wheels? Again, NICE. Thanks for response.

You think you can hook me up with your buddy's carwash too??
:p :p :p

Thanks for the answer , did you noticed alot in harshness with the shocks?
In this moment i have OEM shocks with springs...
Pep you can get the CL's with just the lip polished. You'll have to send the wheels to chrome of polishing shop to do it but its been done. I have seen it and it looks very nice. Personally I am not a big fan of chrome and have seen these wheels on black benzes and its looks awesome (without chrome). I think if you polished just the lip - your car would look great.
It looks like those CL rims are going to be the de facto rims of the w211 sport pack. pretty sweet.
also, did you notice any degradation in ride or handling when you went from the BBS LM's to the CL rim? my guess is that the CL rim weighs a bit more, adding to unsprung weight and rotational mass.

Nice wheels...Actually, I like your BBS LM's better though.
Are you thinking of selling your LM's?? Let me know ok!!
I see that you have S-03 PP's on your car.
Actually, I just got a new set myself...stock tire size.
I noticed that the new S-03 PP tires are not as soft as my original Pilot Sport's and therefore, my launches off the line was not as good as with the original Pilot's. I noticed that there was a lot more wheel spin and I can't seem to get a good launch.
On my original tires, I got the best launches with ESP off and flooring it.
With my new S-03's, I can't seem to get a good launch.
Well at least I haven't as of yet.
I've had my tires one week.
My question is, did you experience the same thing and how did you launch the car to get the times that you posted with your G-tech timer?
Comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Edmond
