Replacing Rear Rubber Jack Point
Would this be possible? My rear left jack point looks abused... I'm not specifically sure if it's rubber or plastic but it's chewed up and I'd like to replace it if possible. I know our cars have 6 lift points, but still I'd rather be safe than sorry.

They're made from a combination of plastic and rubber and you can get them cheap.

Very easy to replace. Pry out the center with a flat-head screwdriver, then the rest of it will pop out fairly easy. I don't remember what they typically cost at a dealer, but they aren't too bad.

I only seen 5 points in my car 4 laterals and 1 in the front/center engine subframe. I think usually, mechanics lift the rear in the Diff. I ever up the car in the driver's side rear jack point and after in the passenger rear point. maybe i miss something.
Thanks in advance people

Generally speaking, you can lift the cars by their jack points or subframe structures front and rear. Just depends on the car and the lift/jack/etc you're using.

YGood to know, but the rear subframe not comes with any ruber/jack point. lift the car by the Diff is ussualy? In other words we can lift our cars by the diff in the rear?
What you do guys?

I'll have to take a look, but I would assume so. I would not lift by the diff itself, but rather by the subframe surrounding the diff. I'll try to get mine up in the air to check. Maybe somebody else can chime in on this? Not my area of expertise with these cars.
Kind of what I'm talking about. See the yellow section near the diff. That's what I'm referring too. Awful picture and it's not even a MB, but hopefully you get the idea...

There's only 1 back there from what I remember and it's not on the bumper. Think about it...you use the tow hook to tow so it's very strong, welded onto the frame. I've used it as a jacking point before on other cars, just put something in between so that it's not metal to metal.
