Dual exhaust look
Do many of you have this dual exhaust look? I saw these pictures on the web.
I have been thinking about it for a while now. I am so used to seeing my other performance cars with dual exhaust. My E55 just seems like it is missing one side.

MBWorld Fanatic!
I like that a lot! (not because of my C55) Its just really mean looking. I did a custom dual exhaust setup on my NA Miata before I went AMG. This at least looks like the car warrants it

While I like the dual look on a lot of cars such as the W211, and M3, it just isn't a W210 E55. I've been tempted but decided that the single is the W210.

why does it have to be just cosmetic???
right now my daily driver is a 2007 Audi S8 with the lambo v10. however, i am actively seeking another w210 e55 to play with and mod after owning a 2001 back in 2002. i have missed this car bad since then and have always wanted to have another but something that has always bothered me is the single sided exhaust. why does it have to be purely cosmetic? if we are willing to give up the spare tire cavity, why can't a true dual system be added? thoughts?

It is a true dual. They just both use the same muffler housing but it is two separate sides. Bringing one to the other side is still a true dual- and you can still have your spare.

I know that it's a true dual as it is now, it's the look from the rear that troubles me. From what I can tell though in order to add another exhaust to the right side, you will lose the spare tire cavity. Yes, it means work and it won't be cheap to make it look right, but it seems like it can be done. I've seen pictures, but I cannot tell if they actually added a muffler and rerouted the pipe for the right side. I also saw one customized example that used a very factory and quality looking difuser to tie it all together. I guess inwas hoping someone here had more details on how it's done and where to buy the difuser. Everyone has their own opinions on what looks good and mine (and I suspect a few others) is that this would look good if done correctly
