its not a starting issue more of a acceleration issue. When I want to put the foot down the car does not accelerate as it should.

Do you diagnose the car...?, many issues could cause that accelerate hiccup....!

Yes I did no miss fire, transmission is good, I had replaced the mass air flow sensor but on the diagnostic it was showing up like it was not working. Is it possible that it stopped working for some reason? It was a cheaper type of mass air flow sensor cost around 45$ .

Most common is "CPS/MAF", but should to look to "fuel pump/dirty fuel filter/dirty injectors/bad spark plugs/bad coils"....

Those Chinese Ebay MAFs aren't all that dependable - just sayin'. Do you get a 'front fire' (as opposed to a back fire out the tailpipe) into the intake manifold? I had an issue with a different type of vehicle (principles of operation are the same) where you would get a stumble upon acceleration (not always though) and an audible front fire. It was the fuel pump. I will say this - I've owned dozens of cars over the past 30 years - not once have I ever had a problem cause by a clogged or dirty fuel filter. Maybe I'm just lucky - or not depending on how you look at it. I would try to pull some codes, maybe it hasn't had time to generate one yet. If it does, then it should give you a better idea of what to look for. In the meantime you could do some voltage/resistance checks on things such as the Throttle Position Sensor; maybe a fuel pressure check if you have the means to. That's what I would do.

PS - I doubt it's a relay but you could try swapping it with a similar one. Alot of cars use the same exact type of relay for different systems. You'll have to check but it may be an option and would save you from wasting your money on one. It's often located with the other relays - doubtful that it would be under the car. Check your owners manual; it should say.
