2001 Mercedes E55 AMG
HELP ME PLEASE!!!
I just signed up, because I am having trouble with my 2001 Mercedes E55 AMG. If anyone would be kind enough to help me I would greatly appreciate it. I can give you detailed steps about what I have done and what problem is going on with my car. Thank you guys so much.
1) started car one day and esp,bas, and abs light came on. I proceeded to drive my car, my car would not come out of low gear.
2) I shut the car off to cycle the key and clear the warnings, but when I did my car would not start. It kept blowing a fuse in what I believe they call the K10 relay so I bought a new one and it stopped blowing fuses.
3) Then my shifter would not come out of gear so I replaced and it works just fine now.
4) Now that I have done these things, I try to start my car and all I hear is a clicking sound. The engine will not turn over or anything. Once the key is turned to the start position it just makes a clicking sound then stops.

no i did not check the relay. I'm guessing i go buy a new one and see if that fixes it! Thank you for your time I will post when I get the part and let you know if it fixed it or not.

Also, if all fuses & relay in K40 are good, try to see if there is an Electricity goes to fuel pump, if it doesn't, then you may have a bad TCU..!!

If it was the fuel pump it would still be cranking.
Suspect the immobilizer. Mine did this once, and only once. What resolved it was locking the car with the central locking keyfob, and then unlocking it again.

sorry for the late reply, I have been extremely busy. It turns out I have a bad transmission control module. I'm currently waiting on the part to come in and then I may have to have it reprogrammed to my car. Thank you everyone for your help and time.
