The Black Beast
First time, found out at the time of installation, the front 2 wheels were bent so had to get them fixed.
Day before, with the second attempt, the guy at the Discount Tire, broke two lug nuts with broken pieces still in the lug holes.
Took the car to our mechanic who knowing the case, still ended up breaking 2 more lugs while torqueing them.
He called me to tell me well you need to come over as there's bit more of an action going on with your rear wheels.
The color difference is where the lug bolts are breaking off
4 broke off by two mechanics so it can't be a coincidence
Could these spacers be ( 3mm) the problem, I think so? I guess where the bolts are not flushed against the solid spacers, it's weakening the bolts and breaking them off.
I think solid spacers would have supported the lugs and there won't have had any discoloration of the bolts either, there shouldn't have been.
Previous owner had E 63 brakes in the back with 295/30/19 and I guess he never realized the dang thing is rubbing on the inside and is actually cutting through the tires.
I really like the 295 look and I still think putting in an 8 mm or even 10 would push the wheels out enough where it would clear the inside.
I have OEM E63 -s wheels with 285/30 at home so going to play with those to see what's going on.
One bad news after the other but at least this time it will be done right.
Wheels balanced and rebalanced- problem persisted.
Thought might be the tires, new tires and problem persisted
Another set of wheels and brand new tires---- Problem persisted
New motor and engine mounts
Finally traced the problem to the rear 10 mm spacers that weren't hub-centric ( no lip)---- Called ECs, bought the new spacers/longer bolts and viola ---- problem finally solved
Next day, the radiator busted in the driveway and car is on hold again awaiting the radiator and the upper and lower radiator hoses.
Hopefully will be back on the road again..

For what it's worth, couple of months ago I was driving to Houston on I-10 and a w211 E55 came roaring up in the left lane from behind. The fella jumps on his brakes, drops back a little bit, pulled out his his camera and proceeds to start taking photos of my 1999 e55! He did give me a big thumbs up as he accelerated past me. I am happy to say my w210 E55 is one of the first ones ever produced. Manufactured January of 1999 and I put a lot of money into restoring it. Only a couple of gigs left and then it will be just as it was when it departed the factory. Heck, I even have a spare E55 engine and transmission in my environmentally controlled garage. I plan on keeping this car for a while.
Again, keep plugging away on your car as I am enjoying reading about what you are doing to it.
Edit: I do not know if this will apply to your car but on my car there was a hose clamp at the lower side of the radiator passenger side that I could not access until I drilled a 3/8 inch hole through a radiator support bracket. Now is the time for you to look and see if you can maintain access to all of the clamps on the hoses on the radiator. Forewarned is forearmed.
Second edit: lenses for the facelift model headlights I have never seen available. You may end up having to replace them with New Old stock. Costly except it will make your car look vastly better. I just bit the bullet and installed new hella headlights in my w-211 E55 for $1,269. Ouch! But they sure do look good!

These are awesome cars and yes, If i could find a low mileage engine, you know I will be buying it too.
Anyway, car was luckily in the driveway and idling when the radiator busted 2 weeks ago and when I came out, besides the coolant mess in the driveway, car had automatically shut down fearing the engine probably got heated and seized.
Mechanic just confirmed, after replacing the radiator and the hoses, car is back again running like a raped ape, God damn it, I love this car.
Picking it up in the morning.
Slowly I am bringing the car back to where it needs to be.

Perhaps you have already checked these out?
Worn engine and transmission mount or something else broken?
Wheel bearings or rotors could cause vibrations.
Or the bearing disc plate behind the rotor, forgot the name of the part.
Will post the video soon too

Also, try Craigslist "auto parts" since I've seen people breaking up W211 E55's and their front seats are similar and will work, I believe

-Matt
The original wheels that came with car were bent- straightened them out but the vibration still persisted ( very subtle) at over 70 mph
Changed to new Michelin PS4s tires- still there
Motor mounts/Transmission mounts changed
Removed the wheels to see what the heck is going on and I think I figured out the issue
----------- Passenger side front dust cap missing------------ and the missing hubcenteric ring, could explain the vibration
will be ordering the dust cap soon
Also car needs hubcenteric rings as one was missing ------ Ordered and received the brand new set.
W210 uses M12 x 1.5 lugs and W212 E63s uses M14 x 1.5
Since the car came with W212 E63s wheels with regular R12 instead of R14 ball seats for E63s wheels. This explains why the lugs were breaking as they were wrong size lugs and were stressed.
Ordered proper size lugs.
------------- Such a lovely car but with couple of annoying issues ------------
Hopefully the issues be resolved and ***** be fixed soon LOL
---------Still looking for a pair of front seats, OEM or any other that fits the car and be easy to get in and out-------

After visiting several stores, went to my Toyota mechanic who looked around the shop and gave me this part to use.
Using the tool, took only few minutes.
Will be test driving the car in the morning to see how it drives now
I have a friend who's great with the cars who's going to look at the car in few days to make sure there's no other cause of vibration before I purchase a new set of wheels to eliminate the spacers and the centric ring crap out the door.
Such a nice car but needs lots of fine tuning to make it worth owning
Looking for :
Front E55 seats
19" wheels
---front 19 x 8.5 (et 30-32) or 19 x 9 ( et 30)

PM with what you got
Still hunting for the right wheels though
