its useless to argue there... from what i see all they care is the times around the nuderburg or how m5 handles and all the other cars are ****. There's quite few who bought the E55 because they were tiered of waiting for m5 lol
Bottom line, they are just jealous
I LOVE MY TORQUE, which m5 doesnt have.
and who cares if M5 can lap nuderburg in 7.59 and E55 in 8.20 or smth.. at the end of the day i think E55 is more comfy and not as ugly......
And we all know that E55 and m5 ARE NOT MADE FOR TRACKS, they are family sedans!
Oh and i remember how they blamed Mercedes for stealing BEAST logo from BMW which they never officialy used, they were very upset lol I think we should give the BEAST logo back to bmw, from now on we should call E55 a MONSTER.

I've been driving a R230 SL500 the last three days, just for the heck of it. Today, I got in my 55 and the sound of the supercharger and all those horses put a smile on my face. I almost bought an R230 SL500 as my DD, and I'm glad I didn't! I love my 55!

I also am a former M' owner that made the switch over a year ago to the MB star! As I expressed my opinion on the ugly designs coming out of BMW in years past, I was repeatedly flamed by the regulars on the M5 board. I finally made the decision to leave BMW and purchased my W211 E55 and have not looked back (just once in a while over on their board. Now some of the guys over there are reasonable, a lot are not!) They really believe they will be revving their V10' M5 up to redline from every stoplight and around the Fabled "Twisties" every shift with their beloved SMG. Dreamers, with statements like "Torque is for old men and HP for winning races! I can understand the former love for the products that came out of motorsports because I owned several, but these guys are so paranoid and sensitive to the "Butt Ugly" statements about their designs from the ENTIRE WORLD that they seem to take their frustration out on any who do not embrace their Bangled designs and screaming at the top of the lungs V10 M5! $crew them! their bangled cars will be worthless after they drive them for less than 1 year of revving their engines at every light and hoping that the ECU does not void their warranty with too many "Stoplight Launches"

M5 Biiiaatche$, gimme a break i hope a **** load of people go and buy them! so it will give me more Biaaatches to smoke! I'm sure the E55 german test it had contis on, put some ps2's or what ever and i bet the time shrinks considerably! can't wait to go out with the local bmw club at track day in late summer there should be a few new M5 biaaatches out there to spank! :v

I wish I could have my E55 with an M5 suspension. Wouldn't that be sweet. I hope I don't draw fire with that remark but I like the way BMWs handle. I wouldn't trade my compressor for one however.

are you still running conti's? if so get rid of them and I bet you will feel alittle different about that I'm talking 55 compared to m5
a couple bmrs m3's maybe some of the z cars are excellent road course cars and with little mods are awesome.

For the most part, most M5 owners I've met are cool, but none of them seem to "live" on M5 boards. I think I've met 3 M5 "*****s" in my life...1 of them I smoked in my RS6 the other two...well I had a 540 then and couldn't put up much of a fight
All jokes aside, a good buddy (my chiropracter) owns an E39 M5, one of the most open minded person you'll ever meet, even he knows his car can't "competed" in this day and age.

yea sorry, I've got a.d.d & dislexia etc so don't take me to seriously, although I think BMW SUV's kick *** over the ML's (i own a ml also(wife's), they suck)
