Either you have a nostalgia channel or your age is showing. I can remember seeing Jr. Samples give used car commercials with BR549 for his phone number. Anyway, I will take a half dozen. BTW, good post on the road course.

I know this is kinda stupid but...

I think you're almost insane to want to powercoat them back to original (or whatever) color. The gold is absolutley hot and I think you should keep it to show those in the loop that 'hey, that's a track car, and it's fast.'
