No more front plate in Texas!
ARTICLE 9. REDUCTION IN NUMBER OF LICENSE PLATES ISSUED
SECTION 9.01. Subchapter A, Chapter 502, Transportation
Code, is amended by adding Section 502.010 to read as follows:
Sec. 502.010. ISSUANCE AND DISPLAY OF LICENSE PLATE. (a)
Notwithstanding anything in this code to the contrary, including
Section 502.180, the department shall issue only one license plate
for attachment at the rear of the vehicle for which the plate is issued.
so next question. where can i order a new front bumper for my e55?
any idea of the cost? i have 4 holes in my current one and plugs will not work.

I feel for you. I just never added the front license plate. I'll take the ticket, just don't make me hurt my baby 
So I'm guessing this is official now? We only need the rear tag in TX?

Funny you should ask...
I just bought my E55 used and it was a TX car with holes in the front bumper. We don't have front license plates in AZ. I have priced having the bumper repaired and repainted. A high-quality body shop quoted $600. I am going to do it.

lucky fuc*ers!!! the day i took my plate off my recently departed 911 i got picked out of a line of 4 cars by a copper, see! anyway, i had just bought in nc where there is no front plate law and was let off.

I got pulled over for speeding a while back and he also told me to get a front plate, i told him i would...but he did not write me a ticket for it, they are very relaxed about this rule in tx, but i guess this just makes it official.
