The Best Extended Warranty I Found Is....

maybe i could sell you my warranty gold policy for like one dollar or something

then you could go down to the courtroom and try to shake some money out of their lawyers or something

dude . . . these guys are really good. i mean, REALLY good.
same story now. same good ratings, reliable insurance and REINSURANCE.
so many years in business.
all the same story over again, even the same CEO . . .
i'm really surprised you talked to James and not Louie Tamez.
Next time you call try to ask for Louie i wonder if he is in on it too.
fiy, i bought my policy on june 5, 2003 only to find out later that all policied purchased before june 7, 2003 were junk, they were worth 0, not the 3K+ dollars i paid for mine.
You know, Louie was very good to me, he was very informative, he convinced me that i was really special, that he could, just for me, go the extra mile. not just 100K miles but also 7years to throw in, a few extras like road side assistance for FREE. he was really selling it to me and he wasn't too desparate so i wouldn't feel suspicious. and yet he threw in all that free stuff with it. i was thinking man . . . how can they do this? do they reallize how expensive that tranny is?

but he KNEW for sure that they'll go chapter 11 soon and my policy will be worth shaisse. but how could he have known? after all, it wasn't them who went bankrupt first, but their insurer! how did he know? he was just that good.
he was really good and smooth and i was an idiot and lost 3K+.
learn from my mistake friends. don't fall for "too good to be true".

You will find that there are many differences in extended warranties. Much like your auto insurance where you can choose name brand companies such as State Farm, Mercury and Nationwide or the small second tier companies. I would assume that you would only select the name brand companies to cover your home or auto. What most people don't know, is the same name brand coverage is available from our member based company, The Auto Club. Most other online or direct mail warranty companies are insured by very small second tier insurance companies called Risk Retention groups (RRG's).
Always verify everything you are being told (including what you are told by us). Review the contract and definition of "We, Us and Our." You want to make sure that the company listed is the one you are told verbally. Also review who is insuring the contract under the insurance section. This is where you need to verify that the insurance company listed in the contract is at least "A" rated by AM Best. If someone suggests the contract is "double insured" with re-insurance, check to make sure that the re-insurance company is listed in the contract as back up insurance. You will notice that though a warranty company may tell you that your contract is reinsured, the reinsurance is nowhere listed within your contract.
Please review the attached information or give me a call to begin coverage. I am available Monday through Friday until 8pm (CDT). Our website, www.theautoclub.com is also a great source to learn about our company and extended warranties as a whole.

autoclub CEO is the same guy who ran the warranty gold scam.
warranty gold also had backing by an insurer and also was in business for a long time.
however, the money disappeared in the cayman islands . . .
do you want your money to disappear there as well?
or are you just trying to earn a better deal from them by sending more people there?
remember how ponzi schemes work . . . new people go in, that pays for existing members. don't be a part of that. that is a scam.

after reading those posts.. i went to my credit union... they tired to sell me the same company "american mercury".. i talked to the mercedes dealership in texarkana texas.. they tried to sell me on some other company for $5200... i talked to the service manager about aftermarket extended warranties and he told me to ask them how they pay and other things that he thought were important.. i did and talked to him again and told him it was american mercury that i was thinking about going with.. and he said he had worked with them before and that they always paid without any problems... i even called american mercury up to get a quote directly but they only work through agents like the auto club... so thats who i went with.. i am getting nothing from them for telling people about them.. i just thought they was giving me a good deal and thought others would like to know about them...
i'm just trying to save others from the same mistake i made.
if i had to go thru the same thing again, i'd probably invest that money instead and took a risk. if something goes, i buy parts for cheap and fix it myself.
it takes some time but hey there is no such thing as "something for nothing".
also, some DIYs could be enjoyable too.
keep in mind when warranty company has to pay for your repairs they know you'll go to the dealer, dealer will charge 250% for the parts + 150$/hour.
heck they were trying to charge me 350 bucks for changing the air filters!!!
You can get them online for 16 bucks a piece. that's 32 total and about 15 minutes to put that in.
so the warranty company has to charge you a lot of money to cover all that.
or if they offer a "too good to be true" type of a deal, then it is probably because they'll use new people's premiums to cover for all people's repairs.
that is a pyramid scheme that you'll end up paying for.
and they'll open up another company and start from scratch.
their ratings are always going to be AAAA++++ too

just like warranty gold ratings were.

i hate to say it, but i think the only way to be covered for those major repairs is to buy a new car and keep it for the warranty period or better yet lease it.
we who buy used cars are trying to ride these 60k+ monster cars without paying too much
in fact i paid less than half of the MSRP when i got my car only slightly used.obviously, there is a price to pay somewhere

if my tranny goes i'll be screwed out of some major dough, but that's life. so i'll try not to kick the crap out of it and do preventative maintenance on it too.
if i was "covered" with the tranny do you think i would care for changing tranny oil or not going easy on it? i don't think so

so the guy who is going to sell me the warranty is not an idiot, he knows that too

maybe when i buy my next car i should look around for a "better" deal, for a manufacturer who will give me warranty on the tranny and other major parts for longer?
but then again, life is too short to drive anything else than a MB ///AMG
