Quiet night in the neighborhood, and I run out to grab my Treo outta the Beast, guess I never really noticed how much noise she makes when you open the door. Whizzes, buzzing, whirls....sounds like the shuttle getting ready to lauch. Funny as *****, I close the door and say "Not tonight baby, we'll go huntin tomorrow" car makes a another strange noise (think it was SBC again) but almost sounded kinda down. Only car in the world that talks back to ya.

I first noticed is on my W220 S, I thought it was the hydraulic pumps that assist the soft-door close feature and airmatic pumps...But then I noticed it on my X5 and now W211 E55...My W220 didn't have SBC, so I'm guessing maybe airmatic since both cars have that...
But as Ricky said...I noticed it on the M3 too, and that car has none of the airmatic or SBC brakes. Now I notice it on my sisters BMW new 3 series...
