Better Tire for E55, Nitto 555 or PS2?

Nitto are very popular with the import cars and they appear to work very well has anyone used Nitto's?

Have read that the 555 has a more 90 degree angle look at the tread/sidewall connection. Supposed to look sweet with our lower profile tires.

I drove a 350z with NT 555s and they produced some annoying road noise. 555s are good grip tires though.

555s

I have Nitto 555s and I would recommend them.

PS2's are better. However Nitto's are a lot more inexpensive.

Not one of your choices...but S03's have been great for me on every Benz I've owned.

I agree. S03's are a great tire. The only knock I have on them is they don't last long. I got 8K miles each on two consecutive sets. I drive hard though.

Yep, just bought a new set from Tirerack. Think it was $1150.00 shipped for all 4. Compared to the PS2's, they're a great bargain.

I had the Nitto Nt555's on my car and they rode like a brick and had worse traction than the Continental's. No way would I ever use them again. I've heard the NT555 drag radials are good track tires though.

Log onto Tire Rack web site and they have all the customer surveys and comparisons you need.
Both Pirelli tires are pretty low down the ladder in terms of all performance indicators. Rosso, OE on some cars like CLS55 is much worse than Nero, which is reserved for missinformed "tuners" and aftermarket upgrades
PS2 is second from the top but in my books its the best.

I really hope that by "track" you mean dragstrip. I wouldnt feel too confident with drag radials on a road course.

I am going to try a set of Nittos once I decide on which 19s I'm gonna roll. I have a set sitting in my garage that I used on my MKIV Supra with lots of tread left. I'll report back my findings.
