I posted this in the E Class section, I meant it to go in the E55 AMG section. If you have any thoughts or advice on my questions, please reply. Here's the post:

oblax,
If you are trying to dyno in 4th gear, like most dyno operators try to do, the reason you are cutting at rpm is because you are hitting the top speed limiter @ 155mph.
You have to dyno in 3rd gear.
Go back, do it right, and then we can speculate on your #s![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Thanks Marcus, but with the RennTech ECU chip the top speed limiter should have been re-set at 187. Could it be that they didn't reprogram my chip like they were supposed to?

[QUOTE=medici78]Did you have the car in dyno mode?[/QUOTE
I don't know what you mean by this, so obviously not. Sorry to sound stupid, but what's "dyno mode" and how do you get to it??

That's great, thanks! I just tried it and it worked. Question - at the bottom of those instructions it says "the gear ratio closest to 1.00 yields the most accurate numbers for horsepower" - I am assuming that would be 4th gear for the E55? I am inferring this because everyone seems to say to dyno in 4th.
Again, thanks for the help!

Thats right fourth gear. But if you still have the factory speed limiter do it in third like previously mentioned. I tried both, peak power was about the same. Also put the tranny in M mode and shift to desired gear on the rollers.
