Etched Mirror
I want to get the LED display for my Passport SRX mounted in my rearview mirror. I've been in touch with an installer in Buckhead / Atlanta who does a ton of these installs. He hasn't done an E55 but has done recent model CLs and SLs. He said he would have to see my mirror in order to tell whether it could be done on my car (apparently the sequence of layering for the mirror-layer and the auto-dimming layer have to be a certain way, otherwise it can't be done). Has anyone had this done successfully for a W211? If someone can tell me it can be done, then I can relay the info. to him, and schedule. Thanks for the help. Pictures would be great if you've got 'em!
BTW - I've already talked to AI Design in NY - they only do Valentines, not SRXs

I have the V1 etched and love it. At the end of the day you can not go wrong with V1 if that is your only choice. I had AI do my install and it looks great and works AWESOME. I have always used my passport 8500 but this V1 has been bullet proof so far with the K40 diffuser in the grill which is wired into your V1 display

Mirror Display Installed
Strong props to Randy and Matt at HiFi Buys on Peachtree Road in Buckhead. They did my etched mirror display yesterday. They are the only ones I could find in the Southeast to do it - they have 4-5 years experience in this install. They also do custom iPod docking bays, by the way, for anyone interested. Anyway, I got some good seat time in the Beast running up to Atlanta from Jacksonville. These guys are highly recommended if anyone wants a mirror display installed!
