ipod kits are available for W211 through dealerships

ipod kits are available for W211 through dealerships
I know this post belongs down in audio, but a lot of us were waiting on these kits to be available through our dealers specifically for our E55's / W211's. The dealership just called and they are commonly available through parts departments. $299 for main kit, and $16 for Ipod holder. Just a heads up.

I'm going to see if I can get some wholesale partners going, we have a lot of guys buy massive stuff on mbworld, and it'd be nice if we could get a discount.

My dealer told me $700 in April when they booked me for the kit that didn't even exist at the time. Talk about p.o'd. Nice to know that you are about to get robbed only to find out that service is not even competent to pull off the robbery.

Thanks for the information. Have you scheduled your appointment to have it installed yet? Also, if you don't get the holder, where do you put the iPod?

If anyone has the MB iPod integration unit installed I'd like to hear what the interface is like. Most of the car integration units require you to create playlists and you can only play music in those playlists. However, the "spot" on the MB web site indicates that with the MB iPod integration the user will be able to browse artists and genre's (http://www.mercedes-benz.com/content...ment/ipod.html) That would be very cool and certainly unique.
