How old are our fellow E55 owners?
It would be more interesting to see marital and family status as well or what percent of your net worth your car(s) make up or is it a liability (lease or upside down loan), etc.

Seriously, a new E55 costs what, $75 to more than $90 grand? Sometimes you can't take everything for granted and gotta take a step back and realize, that's a lot of money for a car.
Just my opinion.

I'm 27, as of last month. My '05 beast is almost one year old! Tints will be going on once I get back from my vacation. Still debating on a built in valentine and a audio system. I might leave the latter for when I buy an suv as a second vehicle.
Newton-I realize you weren't singling me out, but I am in that group, and I honestly don't take anything I have in life for granted. I realize how lucky I am. And who's to say that I cannot appreciate the car just because I am 18? But, I also respect your opinion. Everyone is entitled to one.
You know how many times I've been asked if my mommy or daddy has purchased my cars? Just around eleventy-billion times. That's not counting the people who see my cars and say "his mommy probably bought that for him".
I didn't purchase my cars for anyone else but myself because I am a car nut and that's what I wanted to do. Do I really care what others think? Nope. Would I act any different if I didn't purchase the cars myself? Nope.
From what I hear, for a teenager you sound extremely responsible and I respect that. Safe driving!
Don't hate bro.Marketing #s say that the average owner is older than 90% of the respndents here. Just trying to make some better sense of the results. I was driving a vintage Corvette AND a classic Jaguar at age 17. Both purchased with my own money and credit. By the time I was 22, I was driving in a new Carrera Cabriolet so I'm no stranger to the "Mommy and Daddy must have bought it" remarks.
Just waking up the beast is enough to make me realize how lucky some of us really are....
When I was 18 my moms could barely afford the $500 1975 Mercury Comet she bought for me.
I wouldn't have wanted it any other way either,I don't like lavish gifts bestowed upon me.
My parents "only" bought me a '96 Maxima that I still enjoy till now.The thing that impresses me is when such a young kid (18, 19, 20, etc.) buys the car on his/her own. That's impressive....
me 29 and I thought I was lucky and blessed enough to have a career that allows me to buy my first house in Silicon Valley at 23 plus '01 E55 at 24 plus some other expensive toys couple years after that and still manage to have enough saving to buy another house (old house for rental) last year.... but looking at ppl in this forum, I guess I'm just average
Not that I am not happy.... but just amazed at how people could do at such a young age.Keep up the good work and please do share your experience so all of us could learn

Otherwise we'd see E55's & CLS55's all over the place.
Maybe it's different where your from, but not here in NY
Our average middle class drives an SUV or 3-series, Audis A4 and C-class, all of which cost as much as an E55 in America.
You will not see too many guys below 45 in a Porsche or high-end Mercedes like E55 in Australia.
