'05 16K mi CRACKED rotors.... warranty?
Hey guys, i've felt like my beast has needed to have its rotors turned, but washing it this morning and i noticed they are cracked.
Will the dealer give me an issue if i try to get them replaced under warranty?

I have an 05 and I just had mine replaced under warranty. My car has about 7000 miles. I was informed by the service advisor that they will only do it one time and only within the first 12mo/12000miles. After several hard stops from 150+ and one track day they had surface cracks all over and bigger ones from the vent holes. To me this is a defect and I will fight to have them replaced again if they crack again. The service advisor told me that she wasn't supposed to to tell me this but they said don't drive it so F***ing hard. Can you believe that? If I wanted to drive slow I would have bought a diesel!

This is B.S. guys. Tell them to stick them where the sun don't shine if they hassle you. More ammo for the slotted VS drilled debate.

Fast 55 mine had surface cracks even where there were no holes so I don't think the holes were the culpirt. IMO it is a material defect. oh and I agree with telling them to stick it.

Hopefully you will find a dealer that will be helpful.

that is exactly what they told me. Like others many stops from 150 and there were little heat cracks all over them. I had 15,000 miles on them, hence looking at the Evo discs.

My car has 51,000km on it right now.. I better go check my rotors.. Crossing my fingers they have cracks.. It will make it easier for me to make the jump to the lighter EVO rotors without feeling guilty about throwing away my AMG rotors..
