Incredible..... I've always liked the w210 body style.

And the power is awesome. Great 1/4 mile times.

By the way, who did your radar installation into the rearview mirror?

Everything is great except for the wheels. I dont mean to be awheels snob, either. This is simply a case where the wheels look as cheap as they cost, if not cheaper. The stock AMG's are 1000x better looking and classier than those $800 ebay specials. If you're on a budget, any of the Carlsson or Brabus knockoffs would be much more appropriate on an otherwise killer W210.

That is a seriously nice and fast car!

I think the wheels would look even better if the car was lowered a bit more.

........your comment is appreciated. I love those wheels. I spent 3wks looking for thenm in hyperblack/silver after I discovered that the AMG/mercedes center caps do will not fit the center hole. I then had a machoine shop make a custom AMG center cap to fit the hole. The idea is to have a unique set of wheel and center cap combination that does not exits anywhere else. AMG rims are nice, but I could not figure out a way to make them unique. I did not want a brabus or carlson wheel on the car because I did not want to mix tuners at least not visually. This is why I did not use a nice Brabus shift knob that i found.

...........thanks. In order to be able to run slicks in the future I had to raise the car a bit, otherwise I would have had to modify the inner wheel well. I learned that slicks are a lot taller than standard tires. When I'm doone racing, the car will be lowered back down.

Absolutely HAWT!

With that 3:06, is there ever a time when you don't chip the tires coming off a light?

Did you add the chrome rings around the instrument cluster? Also, where'd you have the steering wheel done....I like that a lot!

Have you looked into a carbon fiber/leather shift knob? It would go great with the CF pieces.

Ted

Then, if the budget allows, get a set of smaller diameter wheels for the DRs and swap them when racing. You could then lower the car all the time (couldn't you?).

............. You won't believe, the current steering wheel was done by me in my garage. I bought a victor steering wheel, then I took off the stock steering wheel from the car, ripped off the white/grey leather and used it to wrab the wood inserts on the victore steering whee. I have a soft spot for it since I did it myself. So will probably stick with it although I agree with you that a carbon fiber wheel will look great aswell.

..........Yes I added the chrome rings around the instrument cluster.

..........With the 3.06 diff, I don't even drive the car in summer mode anymore on the street because it takes off too fast and spins the tires even when I had BFG drag radials. Car still spins tires in winter mode, so I have to be careful.

Then, if the budget allows, get a set of smaller diameter wheels for the DRs and swap them when racing.
.......BFG DR's will fit even if the car is slammed. I plan to use those and also try real slicks. Unfortunately even with 16 inch rims, the slicks are too tall and were rubbing when I did a test fit, since my car was already lowered. So I had to raise it a bit. I attempted to see if I can get less tall real drag slicks and I posted a request on the forum for info, but I was unable to find any. LINK . I am not too worried about it since it is temporary.
