Kleemann K1 kit or MKB stage 1 ???
Thinking about some mods to start with...
I know you all love Kleemann but for stage 1, how do you think MKB kit will compare to K1 in terms of performance...
The prices are about the same...
K1 kit - ECU and Pullies - brings power to 520HP and 750 Torgues..
MKB - ECU and Cold Air Intake behind throtle bides - brings power to 540HP and 735 Torgues...
MKB says the can will accelerate 0.2 secs faster then stock to 100km (62 miles)...
Kleemann does not say anything about performance...
MKB has 20 HP advantage and Kleemann 15 Torgues...
It very hard to decide both are very good tuners...
I am leaning toward MKB but not too sure yet...
With which mods to you think the car will perform better and be FASTER???
Thanks

E55 RUS,
I don't have any experience with either but what are your plans for future mods? i.e. are you modding to stage 1 and keeping it at stage 1? If not, look to see what is better for your next set of mods with respect to cost, reliability, HP and Torque #'s for stage 2 or whatever you have planned next.

MKB mod is ECU + optimised air intake duct, not cold air intake. Think what it does is improves the airflow. MKB raises the boost via ECU whereas Kleemann does it with the pulley. I presume this leads to similar power increases but MKB edging slightly ahead at the top end cos of optimised intake, hence 540bhp. The Kleemann mod would probably give more low down torque.
I'm thinking of going the MKB route but with the Kleemann or HPE pulley also installed but not sure if they will go well together. Any suggestions?

I think MKB uses pullies in later stages...
Both Stages look attractive...But I really cant decide since one offers more HP and other more Torgues...
Regarding next upgrade, MKB would be more expensive but it will offer more HP...
From the GAS station we can get pump EURO 98...US 91+
Do you say that with stage 1 MKB also modifies stock pullies???
Also both tuners can remove my CATs and resonators and program ECU accordingly...
But I dont know which CATs I should remove and which I shouldnt...
Which ones affect pressure more or less...should I remove all 4... Just Primary CATs or just Secondary??? What is best solution...
With MKB stage 1 and removed CATS the car should push around 550HP...and Kleemann around 530HP ( but more torgues)...
Vadim!!!...I would appriciate if could explain this to ME and give ME your professional advice...
MKB for 100 EURO also offers a performance test...I dont know exaclty what is it...but I assume they measure HP crank, wheels and test 0-100 times and 1/4 mile times...
Spasibo
Both have dealers here...and offer 1 year warranty on the engine...
MKB Russia is more experitnced and more expensive...they made THE ONLY ONE CLS 55 MKB 620 HP 4 matic if you are intrested to know more look at CLS 55 AMG Forum....
P.S.
I want to change MY Nick name to E55 RUS can moderators do this for ME and keep my history...
