Did a little winter cleaning...

Well today, I decided to give the car what it has needed for a long time:

1. Good wash down
2. Clay bared the Car, Wheels, Windows, and headlights.
3. Simple Greened the wheels with scrubbing brush.
4. Nice smooth hand wax.
5. A little tire dressing.
6. Vaccum inside
7. Wiped down interior and cleaned windows inside.

End Result:

Very nice. Need some daylight pictures please!

What wax did you use? I'm hooked on NXT.

Lol, nah, they're all clean.

As for the wax I used, it was Mother's. I am asking for Christmas the Zaino Gift Basket that includes basically everything. Zaino is the SHIZNIT!

Nice job Matt, Lemme know how that Zaino works out, my MB is white as well. I heard Zaino is great on dark colors.

Bah, you mean the carnauba wax that Mothers carries? Throw that silly bottle of what they call "wax" away! Meguiar's NXT wax is what I recommend. Out with the carnauba, in with the synthetic polymers.

Hell, you're getting some Zaino, so disregard my above statements... but throw your bottle of Mothers away or give it to a friend. :p

Hey, just in case of confusion, it's not the bottle spray on wax. It's an actual application wax that requires the appliactor and to be buffed. I wouldn't call that spray on crap wax. Lol

Oh, don't worry I wasn't confused from a spray bottle to a regular bottle. Either way. You used the one that came with the Mothers Clay Bar kit, right?

Ah, same product basically. Oh, well. Zaino won't disappoint, I'm sure, but I wonder how much of a difference it would show on white paint...

I have white and I did the full Zaino treatment last April or May. The car is still as slick as a baby's butt. I used one clay bar and 2 coats of Z5 and 4 coats of Z2. It looks great, but nowhere as deep and shiny as a dark color. In summary, Zaino is just fine on light colors.

Careful with that cleaner was, it has abrasives in it so you do not want to use it all the time. Get yourself a carnauba without and abrasives to top the Zaino with!!!!

I think that you'll like the results with Zaino; I like it alot.

You need to lose (hide) that radar detector.

Thanks for the input, as many cleaning products as I already have...I might have to break down and buy some Zaino stuff.

You're welcome. I have always used Meguiar's products in the past, I have a bit of them around, too. I called Zaino and ordered the kit with tire dressing, car wash, gloss enhancer, applicators, clay bars, and leather cleaner and conditioner. They also give good advice over the phone. I was told that the best wash and dry cloths are high quality, US made bath towels purchased from an upscale store. I cut some bath towels in half and use them for washing and the full size one's for drying. They are great and will not scratch.
