Cobra Catastrophe
I’m not one to post about kills but this is good!
Coming home last night a cobra (new body, aftermarket exhaust and some pillar gauges, grey or silver in color) drives past me and puts on his hazards…I pull up next to him and he asks “you want to race that piece of ****?” I said yea! The first race is from about 50mph…we take off and I pull about 2-3 cars on the guy…I get out of it and he goes blowing by me and hits the hazards again…I was thinking to myself…didn’t I just dust you…I even stuck my hand out the widow and waved at you as I pulled away.
He comes next to me and says he was catching me and had to get out of it because of traffic…which is bull####! I asked him why he had to be such an *** and why couldn’t he just ask to race instead of hitting your hazards ect. “You wanna race” he asked again…sure…
From about 45mph we do it again and I pull almost 2 cars on the guy…I even switched into his lane to let him know I was ahead…we get out of it and I look back and there is smoke everywhere!!!!! So bad you couldn’t see the traffic behind him. He pulled over to the shoulder obviously with a broke car.
I never like to gloat but he hit his hazards without even giving me a chance to race, called my car a piece of ****, he lost the race and “claims” he was catching me…I decided to make a u-turn, go up to the exit where we were and make another u-turn and got back on the frwy. I got to the inside lane, put on my hazards, turned off the traction control, went about 25mph and did a rolling burnout as I drove by him on the shoulder. I wanted to pull over and ask if he wanted to race that piece of ****…
When I lose I’m always man enough to admit it unlike this guy…I posted a while ago about a cobra pulling on me…I admitted his car was faster…
Btw…for the flamers talking about racing in public…go ahead, I know it’s coming.

Rolling Burnout = hands down the sickest thing.
I had a 91' 454SS chevy pickup in highschool. Surprised I didn't die in that thing.....
Because of the torque and feather light rear end it would break loose at almost any speed under 40mph. Man, what an unballanced vehicle now that I really think about it. Like a poorly engineered drift car. Fun truck though.
Good job whipping the Cobra. That was as funny as the day I raced a saab in my C43......twice!!!!

I hope the driver's not a middle aged guy with mid-life crisis. He would probably go kill himself since he can't even buy the right car to spank a 4-foor family sedan....... haha

I wonder if the guy in the Cobra ended up using his hazards for it's intended purpose when he broke down!
:p
Especially since he was so eager to use them when he was racing!

Honestly, I think the two groups of people (Domestic guys and the import guys) too often misunderstand each other. AMGs are not crap and the high po Domestics aren't POSes either. Cobras aren't crap, but that guy driving it was just an ***.
Nice kill though.

Reminds me of an old story where a guy in a new twin turbo Supra was harassing some guy in a 2o year old 911. (180 HP). When the Porsche driver tired of the stoplight to stoplight tauntings, he asked the Toyota driver if he thought he could stay with him on the freeway. They were in an uncrowded desert area on a hot day. The Porsche driver said, "Just stay on my bumper for as long as you can". They got on the freeway and the 911 wound up to 130 MPH and just held it there. After several minutes there was lots of black smoke in his rearview and the Supra was getting smaller. It's good to know your strengths...and better to know the weakness of your opponent.
