these Kleemann wheels are driving me crazy...
I've now bent my 4th one in 2 months!! My driving habits are no different than when I had the 20" HREs on and I didn't bend one of those (and I had less sidewall too!)
Brandon (at Kleemann) says that I've got to take it easier on the bumps but I can't change my roads and I'm not going to adjust my driving style because of weak wheels. I can't get any more sidewall than what I've already got ... maybe I need to overinflate my tires?
I might have to sell these things

Wow, that sux to hear. What size are they?
I'd just sell them and look into a different style. As awesome as they look, it wouldnt be worth it if you keep having to repair them due to your roads.

How do you know when they are bent and not just the alignment gone out?
What pressures do you run - maybe if your a bit underinflated the rim has less protection?
Just a thought.

I'll probably just keep the stocks on for the rest of the Seattle winter, then make a decision. Really too bad, because I think the Kleemann design compliments the car better than anything else I've seen.

I've been driving forged wheels for years and have only seen this when I ran over a 6 inch curve going 50 mph.

good suggestion, I will ask Kleemann if they would take my wheels back for testing, although I have a feeling what their answer will be.
Will probably just straighten this one out and Ebay the whole set.

I unfortunately have to report that you are not alone. I've dented the lips on 3 of my TS6s, and I found out a couple weeks ago during a flat tire repair that the fourth wheel now has a crack in the lip with no signs of dents or impact. I was told that I need to just drive slower and that I should just buy new replacement wheels.

What psi are your running, and what are your tire / wheel specs (width, aspect ratio, etc)?
Hopefully we can make a few suggestions to help. Wheel damage of any sort can be a pain to deal with.

Don't know the pressures off hand.
I'd love to hear whatever you've got to suggest 'cause I'm pretty done with these. The fact that there's someone else on this board who has had the same experience with the same product tells me a lot (Frisco - it may be of interest that two of my bent wheels have caused flat tires). I'm a huge Kleemann supporter, love Brandon and Cory, and have used their K2 + other mods on three cars now. But there seems to be an inherent problem with the wheels.
I'm looking at other products, but nothing is striking my fancy that much.

There is no strongest wheel (when it comes to road wheels - race wheels are another story - I've got magnesium wheels on my Audi that a grenade wouldn't bend). Obviously a forged wheel will outperform a cast wheel, but just like in my situation, even a forged wheel can be soft sometimes. I had a set of the 20" Lorinser LM5 on my CL55 and never had any issues (driving on the same roads as I am now). Those Lorinsers are a cast wheel, the Kleemann wheels are forged - go figure

i prefer buying product from companies that only specialize in that sector. kleeman is good for s/c and power upgrades, they r not known fro wheels.
get hre's, there are plenty of designs to choose from and u can customise them any which way.
they r strong, light and look good.
good luck
btw: no i do not work for hre, just tryin to help u out

As for alternatives there are many, HRE is a great choice however it is not the only choice. You can also entertain MODULARE, AVUS, AUTO-COUTURE, iFORGED, KINESIS, and many others. I would however recommend a forged wheel.
Good luck with everything

I also think tire pressure may have something to do with it. I try to stay above 40psi as well. The only high-end forged wheels that I have heard about alot of problems with are the Lorinsers....
