Brabus or Kleeman
I just bought a 2005 E55 AMG. I have only put 250 miles on it and have been thinking about putting either the Brabus kit or the Kleeman kit on it. Can someone tell me the difference between the two. I have heard that Kleeman voids the warranty, whereas Brabus does not void the warranty. Also, how much do these kits cost, and lastly, how much faster do they make your car. Thanks

Both will void the Mercedes warranty if the dealer can prove the modification resulted in direct (non manufacturer defect) failure.
I'd go Kleemann. You can get Kleemann products by contacting sales@evosport.com

Brabus covers the remaining warranty on those parts that they installed at their facility if MB dealership voids it.
we don't carry Kleemann, but the Brabus K8 kit is about $13000 + $1500 labor going though us to be installed at Brabus NA. 61hp increase.
Kleemann kit should be cheaper

Go with the Kleemann! They're a proven company on these boards an they're cheaper than Brabus too. My car has the K1 set up and I've ran an 11.5's at the track at 122. You feel the difference. Call Cory.

My 2 cents, drive the car past the break in period and get used to it, its damn fast, it obliterates pretty much anything on the road, and most of the cars that can give it a run for the money don't! or have a pretty hard time doing it.
After you get used to it, then go for the upgrades.. :v

Brabus or Kleemann
Thanks for all your comments. I have just a few more questions:
1) If money was no object would you still choose Kleemann. Its my understanding that Kleemann is more economical
2) Does the Kleemann kit, K1 and/or K2 make the car slower off the line.
3) Who does the best Kleemann install in the NY/NJ area, or does it make sense just to flat bed the car to Colorado.
Thanks

I am sure either company can provide your car more power than you will ever be able to use on public roads.
Kleemann has a well documented history on this forum and that is the main reason I chose them. If you go with K2 or K3, I would ship it to Colorado.

2005 Kleemann Stage 3 E55
MB Steve,
If you take the time to search the word "KLEEMANN" on this site and read the posts, you'll find that your questions and concerns are answered in detail. There is more info on this site than you can imagine---you just have to Search it out.

MB_Steve if you do decide to do mods to your E55, we would be more than happy to help you out with the sale and installation. We are a Kleemann dealer, amongst others. There are a few members on here who have had Kleemann upgrades performed by us and I beleive they would vouch for us. By the way, we always recomend Kleemann - their products are top notch and if you do a search of this forum I think you will see they are the way to go.

Is 11.5s really possible with just the K1 kit? Sounds a little fast for just the K1, do you have other mods done to your car..Runnning NOS? I've read that the K2 cars run in the low 11s, which doesn't seem like much improvement for new headers and exhaust.Correct me if I am wrong, but stock E55s run 12.5s or so, thus if your car really runs 11.5s the biggest impact in Kleemann is going from stock to K1 as opposed to going from K1 to K2 or K2 to K3. Also how is your top and bottom end with the Kleemann.
