Personally, if price is no object, but weight/performance is, consider:

Considered it, or something like the AMG twin spoke similar to the W211 wheel, but the stealth look is very handy. Nothing to worry about, just a harmless stock little four door sedan................... I need some suspension help/changes/mods more than anything. I like what yer runnin' now.

Why get the @11 twin spoke? That basically defeats the purpose of having light wheels. Those HRE C series are about 19lbs per wheel and the stock W211 twin spoke weighs heavier than the C series. Who said anything about being worried? For suspension depending on your budget. Deep pocket go Kleemann speed sensitive shocks and kleemann springs. Budgeted pocket get Bilstein shocks and H&R Springs. Make sure you go #1 pads all around for the pimped effect!

I would go anything nice in gunmetal color.

White car + gunmetal wheels = yum.

Whatever you do, don't get small diameter white painted rims. It'll look horrible!

Small diameter = 18" or less.

it depends most on what the intended purpose of the wheel / tire package is. If you are looking for the sporty look they the HRE C-Series or even 840 series in 19" gunmetal is an excellent choice. If you want to skew more towards the lux side, then 20" 8series, or Zone, or AUTO-COUTURE in Brushed Aluminum would be a great choice.

The wheel thing is so "broad" that honestly there is no "best" wheel for anything, just the thing that satisfies your intended purpose, good luck with your decision making process, and if you need any assistance, feel free to contact us.

^^^^^ I agree.

They are all custom made to the specs of the buyer. I wounder how easy it would be to mess up the specs and have wheels that don't fit well?

It's HRE we're talking about, not iForged

I know that there have been problems with iForged, but how do I determine offset, width, etc?

To be honest the way I do it is first check similair offsets from www.tirerack.com on the widths I want or let the company I'm dealing with take care of it like Euroteck Motorsports or D2 Autosport.

If you're shopping for wheels, all you have to do is know what wheels you want and width. The shop should take care of pretty much the rest.

Whenever I had folks ask for rims, I said just tell me what style you want. I'll take care of the rest. If they wanted something five spoke, then I'd show them a few styles that were five spoke. Once they picked a rim, I'd give them a few options in terms of widths of rims and tires and prices. That way you can pick something in your budget or your criteria.

But that's just me, I bet other companies have different methods.

Are there any companies in TX that sell HRE's and would they have some in stock for examples? Also, do they fit without adapters or spacers? I would hope so.

If I remember right Wheelexperts used to be into that kind of stuff. But I think they've moved into more wholesale and less private sales.

It's hard to keep custom rims in stock, because just like all other custom stuff, it's hard to sell.

Custom rims do not require any adapters or spacers unless you are putting custom rims on a car they weren't customized for

That is what I thought. I think if I get wheels I will get HRE competition or CCWheels, like vrus and TORQUEY. I will get 19's, width TBD, but probably 9 front and 10 rear. Your thoughts?.

Go for it. I'll talk to D2 to see what he suggests. He moves more wheels in a day than I ever have..

Actually it might just be better for you to email him direct.. sales@d2autosport.com
