Exclamation Need your help yet again..

Okay, so my *&@#*#&@$*@#$ dealer told me that my door, weather stripping, glass, and one other part I needed would be in today and when I called to check to see if they had come in they told me that all (yes I said ALL) the parts were on backorder and could take anywhere from a week to THREE (Yes, I said THREE, 1,2,3!!!!) weeks to come in. How is this possible? How many E55 driver side doors could have been ordered? So, what I was wanting to know is can anyone get me a door shell quickly? My car is sitting at the body shop as we speak...

Thank you for reading through my rant!

Matthew Haynes

I know that you miss your baby and at your age 3 weeks seems like a long time, but keep focused on the big picture. Time will pass and you will be back on the road. If it is any consolation, the older one gets, the faster time passes. Your 3 weeks would be a nanosecond for ClayJ. Disclaimer - my real name is William and I am hereby complying with the new federal law.

True, but when it's your daily driver and your out a car and starting school back tomorrow, commuting because very difficult, especially when you make plans for only 3 days of transporation because you were told your car would be done by Friday.

Just drop out, schools a waste of time anyways...

Just wait it out man, take the bus if you can. Get an iPod and rock it in the mornings.

Or like I did in school, get a '87 Civic with 137,000 miles for $400. (no offense, I had to throw that in the mix) You are how old again?

19, but not seeing how my age ties in to y'all trying to help me get my car back to going again. It seems as though some of y'all are saying I am too spoiled because I want my car back in a timely manner.

You are spoiled.

What's wrong with that?

People fixing your car are like the people that bring you your food. Life rule #1 is don't **** off people who fix your food. Likewise, there is nothing to be gained by making a stink. If I tell the service guys to take their time, I don't mind waiting another day, more important to do the job well and right.

I also leave a six pack with "Service Dept" written on it in the passenger seat when I drop my car for an overnight.

Well I didn't say I wasn't spoiled, I admitted all that in the age thread. Also, The dealer isn't doing the work, a local shop owned by a buddy is. Anyway, I don't want to get a pissing match going, so if anyone has any info to where I may get the parts earlier, that would be great.

Thanks in advance,
Matt

I don't think he's spoiled. His parents probably bought it for him for a good reason. Trusting him and being a hard worker in school probably shows his parents that he can be trusted with the car he and is responsible enough to do it. I know it is in my case, i'm 17 and my parents bought it for me for a reason and of course i'm grateful in every way and take care of it.
Glad you finally got your parts.
