ah ok here is the meaning of uber. Its a german word. I lived in germany most of my life and learned to drive there.
The word über comes from the German language. It is a cognate of both Latin super and Greek ύπερ (hyper), as well as English over (as in "overkill"). During the late 1990's, über also became a synonym for super; i.e. übercool - supercool - generally with a slightly intensified meaning. Über is commonly misspelled as uber in English, although the correct substitute for the 'ü'-Umlaut would be ue, not just 'u'.

Thank you for the German language education. One PROBLEM,you now live in Alabama - most people in Alabama don't know where Germany is let alone understand the language.

true but Uber is a pretty common word even for us americans.( not you though :p ). I like the uber one because it is not common and wont really get the extra attention like number 2,3.
BTW in my city there are plenty of Germans. Dont forget the ML factory is here in alabama also. As a matter of fact just about every 2 weeks Mercedes flys in cars to our airport that are going to germany or coming back for development. Also Huntsville is where Werner Van Braun and countless other germans after World war 2 lived and developed rockets for the US.

My favorite German sayings :
" Das Schnitzel ist kalt"
"Sie tragen nicht schlupfer"
"Flach spit es, es nicht heraus"

ah ok I have been there many times. As a matter of fact i played at a basketball tourny there in 1988. There was a 6'6" guy from Mannheim(high school). We lost to them in overtime. Mannheim placed 3rd and we Placed 4th in the european tourny.

Spent some time down in Dauphin Island and also at Birmingham's famous Sammy's club. Folks didn't care much for Yankees down there. My unsolicited advice, if you don't want your car keyed, don't use personalized plates. Get a custom plate design instead. "Let's see how 'Uber' your car looks with these keyed in lightening bolts"...I can see it now.

LOL thats funny i have a custom plate on one of my other cars now. And no one has messed with it. Yanks Black Chinese it really doesnt matter. Alabama is backwards in some sense but not everywhere I park my car in a garage at home and at my place of business it is parked in a secure place that no one parks next to. Huntsville is not as backwards as you think but if someone wants to mess up your car no matter what you do they probably will.
How long ago was this that you were in Mobile area? Sammy Ts gosh i haven been there since ......... geez along time. Once is enough
C43amg if i remember right bitter is a word that adds meaning or exacerbates a word after it.

I was aware of the word Uber way before i ever went to Germany. Anytime I've used it, people know what I mean. I'm actually surprised that this is even a discussion on a Mercedes-Benz forum, lol.
