SL65 RennTech runs 10.85@124 (video)
Well, all I can say is that it's finally been done. My buddy Lou, came to the track with us today and with a little Drag Race coaching from me, finally ran in the 10's. His car is an '05, with RENNTech ECU and CF airbox, he is also running Mickey Thompson ET Street radials on custon made 17" wheels. The weather on this run was: 61f with 17% humdity, track elevation is 1250ft.
Here's the slip from that run (I ran him in my Porsche):
He ran again and trapped over 130mph, here's the slip from that run:
I think this car could go 10.5 -10.7 in the right conditions.

On a side note...check out the supercharged 997, that was done by my Porsche tuner Evolution Motorsports , this is a 997 Carerra not a Carerra S!!!!

Hmm...RennTech, you don't seem to quit impressing us don't you. To imagine that a vehicle weighing over two tons could run a 10.85 quarter mile is bordering on the absurd. Please give your friend my regards and compliments, for those figures are, simply put, astonishing. Congratulations, you just beat a $1.2 Million Ferrari Enzo at a drag race in a car weighing a thousand pounds more.

.....very impressive 60ft times and on what are considered street tires. MT tires go ET drag>ET drag radial>ET street radials. ET drag radials are are only street legal as a matter of technicality. The ET street radials are true street legal radials with soft compound. They are of course, bad in the rain. So, this is a big mercedes doing 10.85 in street form. You can drive the car from home directly to the track and drive back home without making any changes. Impressive!
