The race is from a low mph roll, The Z misses a shift, And looks like he jumped the gun on the 3rd honk, his mods were Borla exhaust..
I believe the E55 was bone stock, The Z was starting to take a little lead before they shut it down...

Looks like the new C6 will be in the same league w/same HP + TO as the older Z06..

I didn't post this to start any wars, I just allways see posts around here stating how the older Z06, and new C6 are no competition compared to the newer E55's etc....

I raced one the other day, C5 Z06, he couldn't pass me, I might have had a slight pull, it was really close....

the vette in that video basically had a 1 car headstart there.... AND the E55 had his window down.... did the vette have a passenger as well?

I currently own an o3 zo6,that make in excess of 600rwhp with a pro-charger and other engine mods..........i also own a o3 e55 with k1 mod,and is currently doing the k2 upgrade.
Stock for stock,the zo6 is faster in the 1/4 mile,if you know how to drive it.
Stock zo6 vs k1 e55.The e55 is faster,b/c its so much easier to drive.
600+hp zo6 vs k2? The zo6 should be the winner,but it will take a good driver,b/c the zo6 with its mega hp will be all over the road,cant make a mistake or the e55 will eat it for lunch............i wll let you know as soon as i complete my k2 mod.

This is not 03 E55 its old W210 E55 with s supercharger i think, i saw this video long time ago.

Looking at the video again I think your right the dashboard on the E is different on the new 03' up...
But the hp should be very close w/aftermarket SC, and the older 1999-2002 E55 weighs between 3640-3700 lbs while the new E55 weighs 4087lbs..

So all said it's still a very fair comparison

The car in the video is definitely a W210. You can tell by the airbag cut-out on the top of the dash.

What kind of power is the W210 E55 making in that video with the S/C? If an S/Ced W210 E55 can keep up with that Z06, a W211 should handle it easily.

I believe the owner of the S/C E55 used to be on this board until his engine blew???
He had it bored out to 6.0 L + S/C... it wasn't Kleeman...
His best 1/4 was 12.5 @ 114/115??
I have his 1/4 mile run on the other computer!! grr
But yahh.....definitely W210...
I dunno if you guys remember, but there was a big controversy about his blown engine. He was CLAIMING to be stock so he can get it covered under warranty or something like that....
Someone have a clue what I'm talkin about? lol

In all fairness.. that graph is of a 427ci motor with heads,cam and a big Vortech JT trim blower running almost 13lbs boost. There is ALOT of money in that car to make that kind of power.

Granted, I wouldnt want to run into one of those things on the highway because it would probably massacre you, but on the streets it would be impossible to put that kind of power down to the ground especially with street tires.. I've had a few corvettes myself and they are great cars for the money, but, its very hard to hook them up when you modify the heck out of them.

I would be willing to bet the E55 would walk him in the low end in a street confrontation because he would be spinning his tires the whole time.

Oh... Did you see the C6 corvette with the Lingenfelter Twin turbo 427 motor?? It put down 1033rwhp!!!!!!

A blown W210 is at least as fast as a stock W211. Don't know about the car in the vid, but I have pulled a C5 Z06 by a few cars from 0-110 mph.

Check out this blown C5 w/550 rwhp racing a Ferrari on the 405 North!!(I don't know which model F car) The vid...Is long and well worth it if you like watching a F car get whipped in heavy traffic 1 of the best vids I've seen yet

Yes, I did in fact see the LPE TT C6 video smokin the rollers, pretty crazy stuff! What's even more crazy is the $46K price tag, how in the hell do you explain that to the wifey...I guess a new dining & bedroom room set every month might do the trick.

I wouldn't mind replacing my Procharger for a C6 TTi setup, A&A has one in the works as I've been following it's progress and much more affordable.

Here in So Cali, blown Corvettes are a dime a dozen (mostly C5s)...600,700+ rwhp, there around town awaiting to prey....hehehe! During A&A Corvettes GTG a few month ago, close to 300 Corvettes were on display and too many blown ones to count, it was shocking to say the least.

BTW: How did your Aquamist project turn out? I had great results with my 1s unit, but I decided to remove the HPS system and all the aftermarket parts and convert the E430 back to OEM. It's time to move it up a notch, preowned W211 E55 or the E63 sounds promising.

Just saw this video for the first time.....what the hell is with the sneaky beeping. I see this over and over in street racing. That is like saying "readdddyyyy sssse-go. "

It should always be 3 steady beeps like a car alarm.

Enough to give the Vette a car length for sure......if it was the Benz beeping, then it blows my whole arguement I guess, but I still hate that. I wouldn't even race if a guy pulled that *****.

I hate to break it to you, but that is not a 2003+ E55. Dashboard is different. May be pre-2003. I don't know, but I do own a 2003 and it ain't the same. But hey, what's 120 HP.

Did you read anything besides the 1st post? all this has allready been discused, The E55 in question is SC'd by Kleemann.
I and others have allready noted the differences in the dash
