Owners: just completed my K2/LSD work. Absolute high compliments to the crew at Motorwerks in Commerce Township here in southern Michigan! Satish(owner) and all the crew deserve the best, Bill(my consultant),Mike in Paint/Body,Shahan in Technical and Detail crew were superb.Warning this post is dense.
What do you think of the caliper job? We went round and round @ the best look-wanted aggressive but not too garish. It is perfect the way it was done IMHO.Even sent copy to Cory and Brandon who once again were great with the million calls I made to them as I was nervous as '773H' when 'she' wasnt in my arms!
Question for JakPro1,04E55AMG,all K2 folks: does the K2 ECU raise your rev limiter? Mine seems to upshift in manual mode @ 6700 approx. now?
Also the 'Heartbreaker' Mustang Dyno numbers are here with A/F data.Has anyone done pre-mod dyno on a Mustang? Didnt get a chance to get it done as they were very busy with the Detroit Muscle cars getting ready for the drag season.
Color of calipers is Imola Red with custom cut decals from the Motorwerks 'artistry' crew. BTW, Ernie did you see this post yet?Just do it!! Joker

Congrats on the K2. I thought the limiter stayed around 6500, but ever since I upgraded to K2 I'm too busy holding on to the steering wheel to ever notice the tachometer.

As far as the rotors, can you post a picture that shows what they look like attached to the rest of the car?

Go Buckeyes!!!

Same here, I will have to check my dyno done recently and see if it was different. Hang on a sec. I think Cor said the rev limit is one of those set in stone settings that cannot be changed, but don't quote me on that.

Here is the Kleemann dyno....gosh I love staring at this thing.

What a torque monster!!

Anyway, most dyno graphs posted are near unintelligable, so I posted her niiiiicee and largh.

Hope this helps a little on the rev limiter.

JakPro1: what formula do you use to convert my rearwheel figures from the 'Real World' of the Mustang Dyno to the DynoJet crank data? Are we all accepting of the 20% drivetrain loss? What @ the 10 to 15% delta from the conversion of Mustang to the DynoJet? I know Im obsessing but Im already taking meds AND getting counselling! What else is there? BTW, the 'seat of the pants meter' is still being re-stabilized/calibrated after yesterdays Maiden Cruise! Joker

Jokerz,

Your air fuel ratio is very very rich after 3,000 rpm. Looks like you need to have that beast properly tuned before you wash your cylinder walls down with fuel.

Yeah Cor said to run around 19%. Just had her done again a few months ago on brand new Dynojet and she pulled around 476 rear wheel which is almost spot on to the 585hp give or take a few HP.

BlownV8: I know but when I asked @ those 'pig rich' figures everyone said it is a margin of safety. Please give me feedback as what are the problems with running rich? Excess fuel consumption, symptoms of needing more refined tuning, possibly remapping the ECU with the program #2 that everyone mentions from Cory? I am also interested in keeping my beast for a long time so I want durability form this high strung lil monster! Advise me guys-Joker

Running too rich can cause O2 sensors to fail, will fry your catalytic converters, ruin your spark plugs, and hurt performance. You can also suffer from what's called bore washing where the fuel will actually wash down the cylinder walls and cause your walls to be scored or dilute the oil enough so that it no longer offers enough protection.

11.5:1 to 12.5:1 is considered safe and good for horsepower. Remember, it's better to be too rich than to be too lean. A lean engine is a dead engine when your are running forced induction. I'd get a second opinion directly from Kleeman on the air/fuel ratios richer than 11:1.

Jokerz,

Pls correct me if i'm wrong but after K2 your rwhp is 419/420? Just looked at your dyno sheet and that's what it shows or is that nor correct?

JokerzWld,

I have about the same dyno results as you with 04 E55 W/K2 & LSD on a Mustang Dyno. Cory told me it was low air flow over the engine during the test. I had a Dynojet done and still only got 440 rwhp. Both Cory and Brandon say it's still low air flow over the engine. I'm trying to find anyone that has more than one 48" fan with a dynojet to see if that is the problem. My air/fuel is about 10.5/1. I would love to see figures like JacPro and Rock are getting.

JacPro and Rock, what air/fuel ratios are you getting?
