It's finally delivered

After waiting 2 long months since the day of deposit, it finally arrived in my hand 3 days ago. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to drive it much yet as I am waiting to get the clear bra installed before I really start having some fun. Took some quick pictures earlier this afternoon in the garage, hope you will enjoy.

Actually I did took it for a spin the night of the delivery. Took my buddy back home in SOHO and then on the way back went into the tunnel on First Ave in front of the UN and waited for the cars in front to go first (no cars behind due to red light), and punched it about 80% or so, and the rush is incredible!! by the time I had to slow down and look down at the speedo, I was doing 80 already. Had a big smile on my face for the rest of the night! Now I just have to get the clear bra done (I hate rock chips), and then I will go out driving every night!

Now you're TALKING! I love black car but it's so fricking hard to keep it clean. It shows every little piece of dirt...

Great looking sled!

Being from NYC originally... I'd be scared to take that beauty out into the city unless I was certain I wasn't going to have to park it... New York just eats up cars (pot holes, dings, snow, salt, etc.)

The pull is amazing isn't it?! I recall the first day in the car fondly - you just have to think where you want to be and give it some gas... and then you're there.

Yes, and that's the exact reason why I want to get the clear bra done, at least it would lower the chance of some rock chips. Pot holes are managable as long as I drive carefully, and most likely I will not take it out when it's snowing unless I have snow tires and I have to go somewhere. I got the bumperpads for the garage parking and dustop cover (maybe I am too careful huh.....). My wife is already laughing at me and said I will be sitting in my car for the rest of my life as long as we are not parking at the garage! Maybe I will move out to the suburb in a few years and just commute into Manhattan to work.

a few...
Congrats on the new ride! Clear bra is a must, I just noticed two small chips in my hood and one in my door, not even a millimeter in size... but of course I notice them. I am scheduled to get mine done soon, they have to use my car as the base since they have not had any E60 M5s down here to try it out on.

Don't have a Mercedes right now...
Beautifull car, congradulations This is precisely the car and color I would get if I could afford it. The clear bra is an excellent idea. Ohh well, I just have to wait 3-4 years to get a used one.

I wish I had gotten the clear bra. There's a lot of chips on front.

Bah, someday I'll just repaint everything.
