To tint or not to tint?

I have never had any of my cars tinted, but I think the E55 might be the first.

I just had mine tinted yesterday. I had to drive 60 miles to get it done though. I had the MA legal 38% Huper Optik ceramic film.

My E55 has 20% window tint and it looks "HOT" with the Alabsater White. It gets very hot in the Summer in Texas so you really need the tint. The CLS55 has 28% and the Vette Z06 has 20%. As you can probably tell the Millers like horsepower and window tint.

if I had an E55, i would most definitely not tint it, the reason being I want other people to see me driving that car

I think most states prohibit COMPLETE tinting of front windshield, but will allow certain portion (between 4-6") of the top part be tinted.

probably true, but man does it make a difference with the entire windshield done.i have someone who does mine. i use 35% and it makes the car much more enjoyable to drive.i never wear sunglasses unless i'm driving directly into a sunrise or sunset.visibility isn't a problem unless you are using a darker tint.some prefer 50% on the front but it's not dark enough for me.additionally,i've been pulled over only once in 15 years and not for the tint but they once asked if the windshield was tinted and of course i told them no.the nice thing about it is they can't write you a citation for it unless you admit to it and the light meters they use won't work as they must have an edge to wrap around like a door window.

Did you ever tint the windows? If so where is a good spot in Madison. I have been thinking about for a while but unable to pull the trigger.

Many Thanks. If I do it I think it will be a lighter version and not so much "pimped".

This place is pretty good, but the film they used are metallic so it might interfere with the reception of radio

don't tint .. it slightly degrades the quality of viewing .. secondly like another poster said .. not to make it an ego thing but wouldn't you want to be seen in such an amazing car personally i think it degrades the beauty of the car as well .. if you want to pimp your ride .. get some nice wheels ... tinting seems very punk and hoodlem like .. just my opinion
