What the heck is Alcantara??

 

It's a suede-like material that is very soft and is alot easier to keep clean than real suede.

 

fake suede, you don't have it in your 55?? its the headliner material

Man, don't know bout putting that on seats.....wonder what it looks like worn down. Ewwwwwww.

 

here is the exact seats going into the E63. They are the same seats that are currently in the CLS55. They look good and I dont think that they are going to wear.

 

It looks awesome on the seats. I had that combo on my C55.

 

Fake Suede!

I had Alcantara on my S4. Looks custom, but wears down after a few years and will start to ball or pill up. Since it is high up on the shoulder bolster should be ok.
Mine was right down the middle cushion and on the seat pan with leather bolsters.

Cleans with water and mild soap. I had a coworker spill coffee on it and it wiped right up.

Interesting that mine does not have the alcantara in the porcelain white seats. The charcoal 55's do. Must not wear well in the lighter color....
