Smile Need advice on wheel/tire sizes & offsets

Thinking about 19X8.5 & 19X10 rear on my 02 E55...Will those sizes work? What offset & tire size should I be looking at.

You are in luck. This topic has just been beaten to death over the past week or so. Do the search or look at all posts by M5 RUS, he had the same problem...

Rafal is right...You lucky !!! Learn my mistake...

I beleive ET30 front and ET33 rears is a good combo...

285/30 will fit with ET 35 if not lowered, if lowered only ET38 but then IMHO you loose some apperence as wheels would be more inside...

Very nice.
You must have lowered the E500.

I agree, great looking car! tbone gave me the idea for washer lowering, so I guess his car is done the same way!

Depending on the brand and make of the wheels you'll be getting, those size should be ok. Or you can also run 19x9F and 19x10R. At least that's what i'm running on mine. 245/35/19F & 275/30/19R.

OZ: Thanks for the compliment

Rafal: Thanks as well. I did lower my car, not via washer method though. I changed the links in the front and moved the sensor in the rear.

Neal @Eurotech also told me I could run a rear 10.5" on my E500 (and I don't have pre-rolled fenders). This is an HRE rim, which will give you a 4" lip.

True. On W211's you can go up to 11"s. But the original poster has a W210 chassis. So biggest you can run on that is 19x10's R.

M5 RUS and Tbone don't have W210's so don't assume those specs will work. The front is very difficult and most of the offsets are for cars outside the US that us 235/45/18 up front. If you are going to use 245 width tires and a 8.5 inch rim up front you must use et25 thru et28. Do not use any offset that pushes the rim inward more than 4mm.

I put on an aftermarket rim that push the wheel inward 4mm and it rubbed with some tires. I went from the OEM 18x8 et31 to 18x8.0 et35 and that 4mm changed using a 245 tire is the max with no room inside to go further in.

Jam, we go way back on this issue - so don't be confusing guys with your setup. You don't have OEM brakes up front so your offset will not apply to the cars with OEM setup.

Yo Kevster! You know it man. I'm trying to make them realize that my setup is the way to go. So what's new with the 55? Still the same?

That figures! Your front is lower than the 6mm worth of washers can achieve.
Well done!
