Lightweight Battery Replacement?
I know this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find anything concrete on it. What is the best lightweight battery replacement for our w211?

I think heavy battery better for traction than the advantage you will get by saving weight ... ?

Heheheh yep ... anyone thought of adding ballast to trunk / rear to see if it helps traction at all ... mbe 1 offensive guard and 1 offensive tackle should do it !!!!!!
Reckon a stock-er will run 13-14 with that line up...!

There's a line of gel-cell batteries called "Odessey" as well that I've seen a lot of guys at the racetrack use. They're a little larger than a motorcycle battery, but still much lighter/smaller than a standard Optima or car battery.

I got mine at the battery mart...drove to the shop from Leesburg, VA was gonna get the 14 lb batter but got the 25 lb one...still saved 28 lbs over stock. No problems cranking it. The 14lb one died once in my S4 hence the move up to the 25lber.

Also, I noticed that you discussed the possiblity of getting the EVOsport rotors in another thread. I just ordered my set. I'm interested in seeing how they perform. From what I've gathered the savings of 34lbs. in unsprung weight which is equivalent to 120 load weight lbs. Essentially that translates into 10-12 rwhp. We'll see.
