And does it? I mean did you try it before you posted? You know if you had tried it before you have posted you would have gotten your answer immediately rather than waiting for an answer that might never come

And suppose to lock the door for at least 2 minutes once you are done. Not sure if that is necessary in this case, but to get the system to sleep is necessary for many things to take over the settings.

Let me ask my buddy who works for MB in Stuttgart as a computer scientist if there are any confirmation for this reset. I think a lot of people would like to get a 1/2 way official answer from someone who works there.

Never said this would work on ALL trannys MB has ever made. Just saying for the 722.6 for the E55 which is notorious for setting drivers up with granny settings/shift patterns, UNLESS they beat the absolute snot out of the cars 24/7...works like a charm.
Most techs don't even know about the reset and just clear the tranny adaptations through Star/Das.
Oh yeah....on the W211 E55....it works!

I actually have my doubts with this reset anyways. I did it a few times. I thought there is a difference but I was never sure. Maybe it's like the Red Bull effect (drinking RB keeps you awake - it doesn't at all). You trick your mind that something has changed b/c you did something to the car.

My CL600 V12TT was a dog off the line when I got it, the PO drove it like an old man. So when I did it, the V12TT really came back to life and now impressed me off the line with its low end power !! It was very noticeable in my case.

I would think the type of car like a E320 vs E55 would make a big difference. E320 you may not really notice it, where E55 you should do to more power.

was just wondering, will this ecu reset solve the limp mode problem?
i have a 03 e240. everytime i floor the gas and the tranny shifts / kicks down, it just suddenly goes limp (even when its in drive)... it occurs quite often... and sometimes, it still happens even while i'm just cruising / slow acceleration...
this only occured after i had my tranny oil changed (redline brand) not sure if this is a certified mercedes tranny oil.
any suggestion would be greatly appreciated
thanks in advance gusy

I just tried it. So based on my vast knowledge of the universe in general
, it appears that the more sedate you have "trained" it to be, the bigger the bang you will get from the reset. I noticed a clear difference. Stays in gear longer. Yellow triangle on more. Rips pretty good, and downshifts fast and abruptly. But these differences weren't the revelations that others have experienced.
Although, when I first got the car, it sure felt a lot more sedate than it has for the last few months. I'm sure part of it was the dead Intercooler Pump and the super hot weather, but I have noticed that it has improved dramatically over time, even in hot weather. It's even better now, with the reset, but it was already way better than when I got it.

Works on my 2010 CTS Wagon too. I little bit different procedure, but same concept. My wife commented yesterday about how peppy it felt.....thought I got it tuned. That's next...
