Tt 6.3l A Reality
............page 28 of Evo magazine has an article about this. They quoted Volker Mornhinger said to be the head of AMG division. He stated categorically that there WILL be twin turbo 6.3L V8 begining in 2008 with the new CL. The car will make between 600 and 650HP. A further modified version of this will be used in the future Zonda
.............further AMG will develop even more radical cars called "Club Sport" versions.

Twin turbo is nice, question is, what kind of turbo are they using? KKK or Garrett? More importantly, is it going to be internally or externally gated?

Nice.....
To see the TT setup in the E Class has to be a no-brainer from a performance aficionados point of view. Will AMG and DaimlerChrysler see it that was as well? If DC is following these forums, please make it happen.

I just hate it when guys spend a whole thread in conjecture, throwing out and bandying about with their wet dreams for an upcoming twin turbo version, etc..

Damn AMG needs to get this sucker out quicker so I have a reason to keep the E55 a bit longer. These costly upgrades are taking a toll on my pocket book. But we must upgrade to shut the M5/M6 guys up and whatever Lexus is cooking over in Japan.

I doubt the sales would be down on the 63s, because there's hype that newer is better.
I put my name down for a SLK63, and it will be the fourth benz we have in the household. To be honest, I am actually looking forward to its arrival, because this is a solely AMG developed engine, engineered and built, and I am quite sure with a set of cams and valvetrain upgrades along with a reflash, the car would gain another 50hp at least, that's about what members here spent 20k on the 55s to be at the 63's wheel hp level.
