Just had the AMG sport kit fitted to my w211, wanted it at purchase, but couldn’t get it with airmatic or pano…so I decided to do it after the fact. At any rate EVO did a beautiful job on the car but given my stock mufflers we are having some difficulty making the tips work “just right” looks like the only fix will be to source oem mufflers…either dual quads or dual singles. I actually would prefer dual singles (to keep the car factory correct), but the chance of me finding those on the used market is far less than finding an E55 exhaust…and thus my post here.
I think EVO is reaching out to a few of you directly but if there is anyone else here that just happens to have their oem exhaust sitting around collecting dust and you want to part with it, drop me a pm.
MBENZNL is always an option…he’s about $1500 to my door on either the dual singles or dual quads.
TIA

I do like how your wifes car looks...however I was really hoping to stay with dual singles (again to keep things factory correct)...however after visiting EVO discussing things with them and then going to three local high-end muffler shops...it has been determined that the space between my bumper and the muffler outlet is too tight to make the bends (needed to fit "tips")...so the only way to make things "right" is to purchase all new mufflers (ouch)...so I'm on a hunt / at this point I would go with either dual singles or dual duals...really whatever I stumble on first...but given the low number of AMG "sport" cars vs. E55's chances are I'm going to end up with the dual quads...I have a couple leads already (through shops) and I'm sure something will work out soon.
I was after an AMG-Sport W211 not an E55 look-a-like but oh well...there won't be any AMG badges on the car so I suppose it'll be OK / Brakes, Interior, Exhaust note and oh yeah acceleration will be tell-tail signs that my car is not AMG...but in the end it'll look nice and that is what I was after...didn't need/want to go fast with this car

Try Vic55. At one point (a while ago), I also was looking for a W211 E55 exhaust, and he was looking to sell. Not sure if he's still in the market though.
