Heard new E55 not coming til late 2003????
I'm first on list with dealer in Atlanta for the new bodystyle E55...put deposit on car in August 2000 when I bought 2001 S600 which I currently have. Yesterday dealer called and said memo came out from German corporate and that the new model E55 will not come here as a 2003, instead a 2004 model mid/late next year.
Can anyone confirm or deny this, I thought the new E55 was set for production now.

MB is to soon begin production of the 211E55 for fall delivery to European markets.
I've been on the wait list here since spring of this year and have been told all along that E55 is most likely to be delivered in mid-summer '03 as a MY '04.
I still expect this will be the case, though I have seen mention of earlier US delivery, late spring '03.

I think I want everything, but distronic and parktronic.
That means pano roof, phone, nav, NO CD changer though, vented seats...what am I forgetting...keyless go, yes, though I do hate the shifter with it.
Tectite grey/charcoal. Should be a nice ride, especially after JamE55 gives me his wheels for my B-Day!

Same here, The sales told me the E55 production start in Nov plus shipping, Hope can see the E55 before X'mas.
