Loren,

I have 2 helmets. You can borrow it if you need one.

Kevin,
Will do! That RS clone is gorgeous! That will be my next Pcar. Almost bought one at Dunkles 3 years ago but the turbo had its hands in my pocket at the time. The guys in RGruppe have some insane rides!

What time is your practice on Sat?

It's gonna be packed! They usually have a limit on the number of cars so get there early. The wait between runs is usually about 90 minutes to 2 hours at CA speedway.

yes.. and with the heat.. don't expect great numbers...

unless its early in the morning or late at night.. it will hard to get real low numbers from any K motor 55 or 32.

I wanted to go in February, but it rained. Also I heard, there was so many people there, it was not enjoyable.

let's rent the track! c'mon MBWorld sponsors.. please put on an event for us and we will pay. Trust me, $100 to $200 bucks to run at a private track is worth for me !

I would LOVE to participate in a group rental of the track... how can we find out how much it would cost for a group for a few hours?

It's actually not bad at all even up to like 60 people. The only issue that came up was the weekends are virtually impossible to get for private events. That would mean Friday nights would be the only choice. C32silverbullet inquired back in December and that was the response he got. Getting a hold of the people at the track is another story.

I'm in for the track rental. I'll drive down from Vegas with a couple buddies (that will also pay). Let's do an evening.

i'm in too!

Sponsors.... Sponsors.... Sponsors.... Sponsors....

if you read this.. please put this event together... and I can guarantee it would be a success.

Specially if you are tuner, it would prove your products are working as advertised and it will motivate other members to upgrade. BBQ's and the Rose Bowl are fun, but the drag is what the AMG's are all about.

I'll pay up to 2 bills (hundies) to run at least 4 to 6 times.. compared to paying $25 and sitting in the heat and waiting 2 hours for 1 run.

Let's do an evening.. since it is better for the cars.

I'm in too, for sure... and I can get my buddy to bring his F430 for SURE. Get a few Z06 owners, corner some M5 / M6 owners, and boy could this be tons o' fun...

In other words, find out the price, then we book it. I'll pay for ALL of it up front. Then we figure out who is going, figure out the price per member, and anyone that wants to come pays that price. If we don't get enough, we merely open it up to other friends with other cars... especially some crazy cars... until we reach the number we shoot for. Hell, you could walk down the street here and say "3 hour drag time, $200, who's in" and get people crawling all over each other... so I'm not concerned about booking short on it...

If and I say if we could get this done I have people that would chip in as well,06 Z06,03 E55,04 360 Modena?,06 M5,Bentley GT,are a few of the cars and people that would be interested in joining.

Unless you guys would rather it be an all MB day? More people less pay though.Even if we had 50 of us we could till get in alot of passes due to our cars don't leave oil downs and spit trannys out every other pass.

Most likely what will happen is the event will be open up to other cars. I honestly don't think there will be 50 AMG's to fill the slots. I'm sure people will go but not everyone will participate. You could have spectators pay a small fee as well ($10?) which isn't out of the ordinary either.

Count me in if this is on a Friday evening or on the weekend.

Yeah boy!! Get her DONE!!!

I'm in. Lets open it up anyway. I wanna see the others and have some fun. Just a bunch of AMGs would be boring compared to having it all.

Hey Loren, you have a paypal account?

Great idea on the spectator fee, Ling. I assume you would charge by the car and not the person??

I can do any evening, as long as I have some notice. Being unemployed works that way!!
