VERY nice tubes ... did not think you would be able to make them this chuncky!!!

Think it would be better if they could have the seam of the CF meet at the bottom of the air tube instead of the top?

How does this mount to the radiator side Victor?

Might also be nice touch to cover the rubber connection between the tubes and air filter housing with some alumium shield / matting since this part is almost directly above the exhaust manufolds?

P.S. sent you some PM's re VRTB - think your inbox is full.

It appears to be lights reflecting from the ceiling.

How about one for the V12 twin turbo cars. I would much rather buy a carbon fiber airbox from you than Renntech.

Check out the engine bay now that the airtubes, engine cover and airbox are all done in Carbon Fiber. This stuff looks like it belongs on a wall!!!!

I didnt have time to re/re the manifolds to install my candy apple red manifolds, but it still looks beautiful just the way it is!!!!

Check out the differences between stock and the VRP "Python" Airtubes!!! I've given my first nickname to one of my parts!!!!

Guys... I guarantee you will flip your lids when you see this stuff in person! These pics do not do the quality any justice...

Now onto the drooling.....

(I had a shot taken of the car without the CF airbox on it, so people who just want a stock airbox can see what it looks like with a nice CF engine cover & airtubes...).

Let me know what you guys think!!! Now.. what the hell else can I make in Carbon Fiber??

That looks great!!...can't wait to get mine!!!!
I also have a deposit on the engine cover......but also want the air tubes.

Just one thing, in the pictures it seems as if the engine cover fits correctly with the stock airbox, but does not seem to fit properly with the CF airbox????

2003 E55 AMG
Thanks everyone!!! I am so glad everyone loves them as much as I do. I've showed this to a few people in person, and the look on their faces was priceless...

Sorry for leaving you all hanging like that... I've just been swamped lately with my fulltime businesses and still trying to keep on top of all these VRP projects.

Now that the test fitment is complete, we are going to do the first production run.. There were 55 people or so that replied to me when I started the original poll that said they wanted these.. I purchased 30sets of each up front in order to buy production time with the composites shop. I didnt want to go to 50sets and tie up the extra cash because I wasnt sure who wanted what...

I am waiting for a delivery and production schedule to be emailed to me by the composites shop. I am hoping it will be a couple of weeks and I'll have all of them at the same time.. Either that, or I'll beg for 4 or 5 of them first and send them out to a few of you ahead of time to get some early feedback..

The retail pricing (MSRP) will look something like this:

- VRP Carbon Fiber Airbox (choice of 80mm Throttle body opening or stock 74mm opening) $2300USD

- VRP Carbon Fiber "Python" Air tubes: $650USD

- VRP Carbon Fiber Engine Cover: $550USD

Package price on all 3 pieces: $3,300USD

These are the figures I have right now based on the outlay for the molds, and other associated expenses. If the number of kits required increases then pricing will decrease..

Also, I am talking to a handful of dealers across California and other states who are interested in purchasing these and stocking them.. If this happens, I may be able to lower the MSRP price and pass along some savings... and you'll see some white VRP boxes sitting on shelves at your local performance shops.

I'll reply to your individual questions in another post shortly..

I am working on some other stuff which I will reveal shortly..

Thanks again guys!!! I truly appreciate all the support everyone shows me. It is a true joy and passion for me to do these projects and it's only because of the awesome group of people on this board.

That looks slick. But it looks like the drivers side tube opening is the same restricted size as the stock one?
