Car Smelled Like Gas
Anyone everyone expereince a gas smell in their cars after WOT. Possible coming out of the tailpipe. Today, I noticed a fuel like smell coming out of my car's tail pipe. Any thoughts?

I'm not sure, but maybe you have an exaust leak somehwhere? My E55 got noticably louder during a 2 week time period and i took it into the dealer cause i thought it was strange. They came back and told me one of the clamps's bolts came off the screw and thats what it was. Maybe you have this problem, but i never smelled gas. I'd have that checked out asap.

Also, if the (EGR?) hose that connects to the y-pipe for the intake comes lose a strange mix of oil/gas smell will be prevalent under hard throttle.

I'm a newbie to the Benz fold, so forgive me if I'm incorrect.
EVAP is part of the fuel system that I thought all OBD-II cars were equipped with to deal with fuel vapors. A fuel smell is often an EVAP-related issue.
If M-B has a different way of dealing with the issue, then I apologize. Just trying to help.
