Just a quick update.. The first set of cams was installed on one member's car. They dropped right in; direct replacement. They have a nice lumpy idle but nothing too crazy. We do need to raise the idle 150rpm via Star Diagnostic and then I'll try and get a video of the car idling for you guys.
We are aiming to get the car on the dyno this week (Wedn/Thurs)... Hopefully after all this work, we'll see some nice gains in power.
As for price, I dont have a firm figure yet.. We built 2 sets to test and play with. Once they are tested and the dyno numbers are in, we'll see how many we are going to make and figure out the pricing from there. I was targetting $3,200 - $3,500 but with the USD the way it is, I am not sure where we will be.
Again, they will work in **ALL** 55 cars (both N/A & S/C).
Stay tuned...

Big Horsepower Gains
Hmmmm are we talking EUROS , or USD. I didn't know Kleemann Discounted?? their mods. Well anyway before you Jump on or off the Orient express. Please post Kleemann ,MBK, & Schrick Dyno sheets , on just that cam mod alone , No other mods to influence the preformance. My Guess is that their is not any Sheets , that those manufactures would what for us to look at. Mike, you will see what I already found out. They put together a performance package. You know ,Stage 1 thru 9. Cams for those packages are pretty mild. The engine idles pretty darn smooth, with those cams. Happy Hunting!! and good researching. Been there and done that. Victor's cams will deliver!!! See you Guy's at MIR, Sunday afternoon ___PTE___

Cams
Michael; You have some great connections over their . They Can achieve 8 -9 rear wheel hp , but with a ECU tune . So that works out at $167.00 per HP. @ the engine crank ,Plus the ECU tune . (I may be off on this ECU tune price $1200.) Not all that bad of cost on parts Cheers ___PTE___

Am looking into understanding what cams do exactly.
from reading i figured they helped with top end speed.. how i do not know.
can some one fill me in on how they work?
and how these are better then the stock ones?
cheers khalid

The DYNO IS IN!!!! The results were SPECTACULAR!!!!
The Stage 2 cams produced some awesome gains right to redline.. They make more power & torque than stock right from 2,600RPM all the way to redline.
They were installed and dyno'd within 2 days of eachother so the gains will be even better once the car has 200miles on it. There was no reflashing done, so he is running the same ECU file he had before the cams were installed.
I am going to hold out until after the MIR meet on Monday...
The car that has the cams installed will be amongst you at the meet and is packing a bit more power now... The real test will be his 1/4mile times... Once the meet is done, I'll post his slips and the dyno. heheheheh..
Good luck to everyone and have a great time!

It was too hot to compare the times from yesterday but lets see the dyno's!!! I may be interested

RFLOW ran 123.5X and I ran a 119.8. From what I can tell our differences are that he has a better cooling system (custom) vs. my EVO. He has the H20 Spray set up (mine was off) and his car weighs 120 more lbs.
If everything else was the same then I'd he would need about 45-50 more whp to run 3.7 mph faster than me...just a guess.
So my guess is 30 whp for the Cams? Am I right?

As promised... below is the dynochart for Albert's car (RFlow) with the new VRP stage 2 cams.
Run 39 was his car using stock cams.
Run 45 is his car after the installation of the Stage 2 cams.
That's a solid 28rwhp differential between the 2 pulls. Torque was equally impressive.. Look at the torque gains between 3,500 - 5,000RPM.. At 4,000RPM there is a good 40rwtq difference between stock and new cams.
The power increase would have shown even higher had he run the car on a day similar to the previous dyno. Run 39 was done in 74F temps.. Run 45 has 92F temps.. I am sure the cams would be a good 35rwhp - 40rwhp if the temp was lower.
We were hoping to get some good 1/4mile times recorded at MIR, but, with the temps being as hot & humid as they were it didn't quite work out for us. Alas, no records were shattered this time...
All in all I am very happy with the outcome and I know Albert loves them.. I think they are worth the expense and make great power... Next up, I will be testing these cams with the ported heads and bigger valves.. That should be interesting..
Also note Albert's car performed flawlessly. He's had the cams installed for a week now and drove his car all the way to MIR, raced all day, and drove all the way home. It's a testament to the reliabilty of the total package!!
Albert: Thanks buddy for all the endless testing and support.
PTE: Thanks Patrick for all the work to help make these cams a reality!
I know both of you guys are always a phone call away. Thanks for always being there to lend a hand!!

Very cool stuff I just stumbled upon this thread & was going to estimate 20-35 rwhp & up to 40 rwto for a good aggressive cam, the idle must be some what lumpy & have a nice lope to achieve those high #'s not a bad thing.
I think it sounds hella bad ***!! I say why even bother w/cam unless the gains justify the price and those gains deff do
