Kleeman K1 WQW....
All I have to say is WOW..... I just got the pulley installed with the ECU reprogrammed! It is night and day compared to the stock E55. Throttle response is better. SHifting is better, and the low end power is incredible. I chirped the tires in 3 gear going 40mph. ANyways... Just wanted to express my joy! I will get a dyno done this friday. So stay tuned.....

I have been considering just such a thing. I will be looking forward to your posted dyno numbers. Would you mind saying roughly how much this little upgrade set you back?

Ohh by the way, if you act fast, you could probably get this upgrade done for 2600.00. BiturboAMG has a pully available for 1600 and it will cost you 1k for the ECU thru Cory. BiturboAMG (Jude) is a great person to deal with so if you give him a shout he can hook u up!

I got my car done at Boston Dyno. They did my install in less than an hour. they also have a dyno there so that you can get a baseline dyno and an after dyno. If you want there info let me know I can hook you up. There install prices are great.

Dayam...just when I had my heart set on getting wheels...I hear another happy customer after gettin Kleemann stuff. Is it really taht much of a difference? It's around 40-50 hp and torque right? I can't believe it makes that much of a difference.
Now the new dilema is wheels...or K1 and some change???

Not sure if you have had ur ECU reflashed but when i got mine reflashed, the beast was not a beast anymore. It was much slower but I had no dyno numbers to prove this to the dealership. I couldn't even do a burn out in M mode in 1st gear. So going from that to being able to chirp my tires in 3rd is a HUGE difference. I highly recommend at least K1 as the shifting and throttle response is much better.... You can get the entire package for 2600.00 if you speak with BiturboAMG. He has a pulley available for sale. Other wise 3200.00 from kleeman. But IMO totally worth it!

You are probably experiencing more of a gain from the K1 than others have. Not only are you getting the power boost from the new pulley and the optimized ECU software, but you simultaneously recovered from the bad flash and resulting performance hit courtesy of MB.
Had your car not received the recall flash, the impact of the K1 would probably not have been as great, although of course it is still worthwhile.

I think with the ASP pulley you just get the pulley and not the software. With the K1 you get the software and pulley. Kleeman modifies the existing 55 pulley so its a stock pulley with some modification.

Well I have heard various rumors, and it is that the ASP pulley will produce somewhat of more boost than the other performance pulleys, just like I have heard Carlssons pulleys produce more boost than renntech or kleemans also. At the end i know they just produce more boost, either way it doesn't justify the price increase, I paid 799 for ASP i will have to pay double for the kleemans. not happening. But you got them and I am very happy for you, I could see your excitement right through the typing, hehehe, I felt same way when i mashed my car with the ASP ones too. I just can't wait to get my headers, heheheh.

On the Kleeman site they have a list of approved Kleenman dealers. I was surprised that the largest MB dealer in Atlanta, Atlanta Classic Cars, was a authorized Kleeman dealer.Contact is Nash Solanki and the K-2 upgrade is $4,800. You do have to sign a wavier and if something happens to the engine and they believe it is the result of the Kleeman modification your Warrenty IS VOID on the engine but not the car. My dealer , 140 miles away tells me the same thing. I bought an extended warranty so if I kept the car (04 E55) I'm covered and if I sale it thought it would help so I decided not to do it. They tell me they can tell if you have the ECU upgrade so I think if you want to do it you better have a non MB dealer do it who could put it back to original if something did happen. The Atlanta dealer did say they store all of the original setting and they have never had a problem with a K-mod, and they have done a lot of upgrades.

'06 E55, '05 SLK55, a few others
Evo,
Renntech,
Carlsson,
ASP,
Hennessey,
They're all the same. If you take the car in with a blown head gasket, I can assure you the warranty is toast. If however, the A/C compressor dies, they will likely not hassle you for that. You can get an aftermarket warranty, but any real problem with your car that a dealer suspects is because of a modification, will be reported to MB, and your car will be black listed and all warranty will be gone!

Are you sure on the price of the k2? Thats alot cheaper then kleemann sells it for. How much do they sell the k1 for?

Yeah,
No sure if 4800 for k2 is correct. K1 is already 3200 from kleeman.
