Great pics and write up. First of all, congratulations for being the winner of every single timed module (kart racing,CLK63 and SLK55 autocross). This is quite an accomplishment, giving the caliber of some of the participants in the Graduate program. You are fantastic person with a great humor and technical knowledge and you made the day even better by raising the competition bar.
I am sure that Clarkie (our fabulous Aussie instructor) is still sore after not being able to beat your time...
I had a great time at the track and meeting new people and making new friends. This was another great thing about this event, meeting some great guys like E55 Pilot, Gerhard, E55 Miami and his wife (who did some great driving which earned her a trophy),Eric, John,Mike,Charles, etc.
I will definitely come back again next year. Just the 2 laps in the SLR with Adam Clark chasing Tommy Kendall at some insane speeds through some tough corners with the ESP off, should have paid for the entire event. I just hope that by then, Danny will be either a professional driver or an instructor for the event
. They can save some money on the watch.Cheers,
Dan
thanks for the many props - Sorry Lady Wolf - couldnt make it happen for Wolf
As AMGDAN says - the best part is meeting other cool AMG fans and feeding off their excitement and passion.
Wolf good to meet you to and thanks for staying for drinks - by the time I got home I was dead tired from a long day!
Chappy - you and me buddy - somewhere - sometime - we got some questions that need answers!!!!!

...no now I look its just the insane smiles of having that much fun that are the same....
(I was in the AMG event at Limerock last year and met the group - nice guys)

I discovered Kendall's secret to going fast on one of his Test Drive shows...Maybe he should be called Tommy the Tongue.
The autocross was at least a true timed event and not as lame the last year's Homestead autocross with a speed limit on the banking.
Congrats!!!! How long have you been chasing that watch? You can now wear that IWC with pride!
Wish you could join us next month in ATL, it would be great to put you in your place.
Schiz
If there was any way I could be at Chappy's meet I would be there, but I finally took the plunge and signed up for all four of the Panoz winter series events - they run Nov 4/5, Dec 9/10, Feb 3/4 and March 15 /16 - the final event in March is the official support race for the 12 Hours of Sebring so there should be a bunch of specatators in the stand (150,000 on Saturday) to see me get my *** handed to me.
But just in case I have anyone on board as a supporter let me know - I would love to have some help in the pits at the first three races.
So Schiz and Chappy - give 'em hell in Atlanta

There is no way I could pull this one off by myself. My good friends Beowulf and Shiz are working shoulder to shoulder in this effort.
