Put my HRE's on finally!!
I finally got around to mounting my HRE 547R from my C32 onto my E55. I must say the offsets ended up being perfect (36 front, 38 rear). Tires are Bridgestone RE050 in 255/35-19 and 285/30-19. No rubbing at all, and they ride like the factory tires.
HUGE thanks to CynCarvin32 for all his help and research in making sure the offsets would work as well as the tire sizes.
I also figured Id post a pic of my first "mod". Recaro seat for my toddler, but unfortunately he took a nap before I put it in, so my baby girl got to test it out first.

Your car looks 100% great. It is simply amazing the the off-sets from the C32 were so darn near ideal fo the E55. You should have no issues with rubbing front or back and you get to run larger tire sizes than people with the off-sets considered "normal" for the E55. Any HRE people on the fourm know what off-sets HRE says is ideal for our cars?
Glad you got the tire mounted and ballanced and we all look forward to hearing what you think about the Bridgestones. I know I will use those same tires on my SL55 when the current set of Rosso's are thrown away. I think the PS2 has some competition for the top dog tires finally.
Finally, and likely most importantly, you have one beautiful little daughter there. She sure gets to drive around in a nice shinny, safe, and mean looking AMG. Lucky girl and lucky dad!
Glad to help

thanks for all the compliments. The gap is actually abot 1.5" front, ans 1" rear. The tire is pretty tall, but its hard to see in the pics because of the shadow.
My son loves the seat. Im glad they dont come in pink, otherwise baby girl would want that when she's older

I have the same wheels, but I have 245s in the front. Would I be able to run 255s? Am I correct in assuming that HRE customizes their wheels in our case specifically for the E55, and not your or my particular car, and that your offsets are probably the same as mine?

Mine were actually customized for my C32, but it turned out to be the perfect offsets for the E55.
Does your paint chip really easily? Mine does and it frustrates the hell out of me.

My paint isn't chipping, except for a couple small dings from flying road debris over the last 18 mos. I've owned it, but nothing bad. I don't have the clear bra but some people get that applied to protect the front. My paint certainly isn't bubbling/chipping spontaneously. If yours it, I'd insist the dealership re-paint it!

The polished wheels also are easier to fix if they do chip.
Am I correct of just making an a$$ out of my self her?

I think he was talking about your HRE's not the car it self. I hear that the HRE wheels which are painted in the center are very prone to chipping and that is why the polished wheels are more popular. I think oblax4 has wheels which are polished (if my eyes are not playing jokes with me) and that may be why his wheels hold up better.

yeah, i was referring to the wheel center. I thought his looked like painted silver. I will either get them brushed or powdercoated if I redo my centers in the future. I would never get polished. Its hard enought to polish the lip, I couldnt imagine doing the whole center as well
