Winter's coming...But, the Heater problem!!!

The temperature here in Indiana dropped all of sudden to about
37..So 2 days ago, i decided to turn on the heater and the cold air (a/c) came out
when i set it to 80 (AC off n everything)
Is this something serious?? This happened once long time ago...

had the same problem since the day we picked up the car in 2003. Instead of warm air, it blows out cold air when its snowing outside. Although I mentioned this problem to my dealer twice, they didn't know where to look.

This may sound trivial but the center dash vents have a rotor dial to switch from cold (blue stripes) to hot (no stripes). Could this be your problem?

yep, you have to turn that dial to hot in order for the a/c to be blowing warm air. if you leave it in cold, the a/c would just still blow cold air into the cabin.

I've tired almost everything, the dail, ac on/off, turning the temp all the way up, auto climate control to manual, even the outside temp sensor was replaced (was showing 33c when the actual temp was 16c) The ony temporarily fix to this problem I found was to shut off the engine and then restart. (works 70% of the time)
