Much Respect to Mercedes-Benz
Hello everyone..
First and foremost I am a BMW owner
, but just hear me out.
Im going to have trouble describing the feeling because of my exitement.
I just want to share an experience I've with a E-class. My good friend let me drive his '02 E55 and I must admitt that I was BLOWN AWAY!! When the light turned green he told me "floor it!" and thats when it all began.The Mosterous sound of the 5.4L making the car's rear end go sideways from a stand-still
. I never thought Mercedes-Benz was that hardcore! I'm so amazed, It just seems like the car was going to tear up the asphault, it feelt like riding a wild bull on steroid. That was the day that I no longer thought Mercedes-Benz was a classy, comfortable, not-so-fast car older person's car. I find it so hard to takes my eyes off a Merc wearing the 
AMG 55 badge. And the crazy thing about this... This happened a year and a half ago, before ne Kompressor E55 was lauched! I can only imagine.

It never ceases to amaze me how wrong BMW owners are about AMG cars. I don't know if it's just status envy or what but that is not the first or last guy I have heard with the same exact story. Very close friend of mine has an M3 and threw a fit when I told him I was buying another MB. So I took him on all my test drives, CLS55, CLS63, M5, RS4, S6, W12, ... Anyway, at the end of it all, he basically came up with the same thing. When it comes to performance all these cars are great, but when it comes to refinement, looks, class, and overall wow factor, MB just blows about the competition.

Not all of us BMW owners are ignorant about Mercedes or any other marque for that matter, some of us are educated enough to make a decision based on what works for us. For me what it comes down to is gadgetry and interior design. I LOOOVE the red interior on my Bimmer, and as far as buttons to push and toys to play with it comes out on top. I just couldn't get with the interior of the CLS, even though I think its one of the most beautiful cars on earth to look at from the outside. Too much wood, and once again its just my opinion but I think wood belongs in boats and houses, not in my cars (unless its birdseye maple).

Gentlemen: and that is where the fun is when me (54 yrs. old and bald) sits next to a whatever (Mustang, BMW,Charger etc. with my '05 E55 K2 debadged and when they give me a pathetic look on the street OR the dragstrip their jawz drop at go time! It is a pure riot listening to their amazed comments- K@ setup/LSD 10K, stunned looks PRICELESS
