Out Of Control!!
Non-Keyless Go is usually called Smart Key, so I would guess they are not keyless go. I am surprised they are only $225. I would have thought that MB charged more.

2014 GL 350 on order
People: let me review my horror story with the Keyless Go FOB. In Chicago hanging out with Steve MBNZL, Vader, and enjoying the hospitality of Mr. Cruz. My mods are done and I go to leave back to Ann Arbor, MI at 2000 hrs. and no start! Short version is MB tech promptly comes out and says he cant hekp me and have her towed to dealer. I get chest pain and end up flying my daughter from MI with the spare so we can get home 321 miles later. MB reimbursed me for the airfare with the 'trip interruption' policy.
New FOB put in service and all's well. Can you run some scenarios in your mind as to how this could have been a fatal disaster? Example: 0200 in the morning stopping for gas in a storm with the family in the car asleep in bumf__k Indiana and not being able to start or roll up the windows etc.!! Very scary-Joker

As I recall....my K-Go fob was not recognized either when mods were done but I inserted it into the ig switch and all was well after that...I can see how that would be a total disaster.

I was having problems with my keyless go. The car wouldnt recognize the key, but it would start OK in the ignition. At the same time, the remote buttons stopped working.
I took out the battery, bent the contacts in some more, and everything has worked perfectly since then

I went to the dealer due to safety not price of a new key from a lower cost outside vender then MB. It worked and if I have a problem with main key theres always one at home.

After getting an order confirmation from OEM Parts Direct on Jan 20th, I just got mine from FedEx today. $61.58 total for the non-keyless go key with the blade. Works like the original.
The two Miami dealers each wanted around $250 for the old style key and the nearest FT.Lauderdale dealer wanted $160.
