Oil leaks from higher pressure w/ pullies?

Since this board has the highest base of experience with assorted mods including pullies, has anyone experienced issues with the pulley creating too much boost (w/ or w/o other modifications), causing oil leaks?

I've heard that the valve cover gaskets may blow, and may eventually cause a headgasket leak.

This was experienced by someone after 3k miles and removal of the pulley solved the problem.

.............i'm running larger pullies on my G55 and I flog the car without any problems. The main concern with a larger pulley is to get a/f ratio and make sure you are not running too lean a mixture. With these AMGV8K engines, running lean is the problem rather than the absolute ammount of boost

The person who experienced the problem mentioned above has gone on to explain that it was a result of a new pulley on the s/c itself and once removed the problem disappeared. The crank pulley remains in place without issue.

So this amounts to a big, "Never mind."

Haven't heard of anyone replacing the supercharger pully.. majority of people on the boards have the crank pully placed.. I've had K1 for about 4 months with only 1 issue.. "traction"!

Are you talking about the guy on 6bling that had a "snout" supercharger pulley installed? Took a guy in denmark 3 months to make and so on? Sounds like he actually made you worry.

Advice: ignore what he said. Did not make an ounce of sense.

Yeah, it was my thread that he answered. His first comments were only related to the "pulley".

none
A buddy of mine developed engine leaks when he installed a paxton S/C on his mustang. After lowering the boost and applying crankcase vacuum the leaking pretty much stopped. I think that too much boost, bad engine sealing, or too much CC pressure could all possibly result in engine leaks. No?

You may want to check your crank chaft seal, when i installed my evo sport pulley they were alittle over tightened which cause a leak from the seal and i had to replace the seal.
