Having Engine mods= car's always in the shop?

i seem to hear from alot of people that have done engine mods that there car's always in the shop getting work done because of problems.......

is this true??

Actually, mine has been in the shop on a regular basis, always getting MORE MODS!!

Seriously, the mods have been trouble free!!
It's other little nagging things that are the reason for seeing the MB dealer.

General rule of thumb: more mods = less reliability

This just about applies to any car out there.

ya like the others its always in the shop gettin more mods.... knock on wood i have had no problems yet.

I have has some issues but not from the mods. From poor install in the past. Now I have a good mechanic so when my car goes in it gets new mods.

Not true! You don't need engine mods to have your car always in the shop, just Mercedes quality control.
Mine has had at least 10 warranty visits in less than 2 years.

Amen to that. Germans know how to build engines, but they dont know how to make anything else. I have not had one German car where the electronics went to **** - power windows, moonroofs, lighting you name it.

Im over picky on things so my car is at the dealer quite often,but Im not complaining about it though.Its just how i like my stuff.

i think it;s all luck on the car you get........some people i know have a great german car without any problems but then i know some that have a lemon or keep having problems......
